min of 7 hof guys on that list imo
Also of note this was the last ballot that Dale Murphy was on.
"You run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole; you run into assholes all day, you're the asshole."
obv clemens is not a HOF.
can we really judge some sportswriters who haven't even played the game but studied journalism and then went into sports.
c'mon..these are experts...
my NL knowledge has always been weak, so I ask this quite seriously, but is Craig Biggio hall-worthy? I see he has some strong longevity numbers, but was his vote-getting mostly a response to all the other guys? Should he be in, or do people assume he was clean and want to vote in "one of the good guys," so to speak?
Deacon White made it in.
awesome stats....check them out..the vet committee will also put dale murphy in <50 years

Isn't the saying "if you have to ask, the answer is no."
I don't think so, not bagwell either.
What I don't get is the same people caught up on the word value, when talking about the MVP
(when I think they meant the award to go to the best player, just MVP has a ring to it.),
don't think the word Fame is important here?
Who is more famous (or infamous) than Clemens and Bonds in their time???
No one,
Good or bad, you can't write baseball history and leave those 2 out.
I don't view him as a HOF'er, but he's a member of the 3,000 hit club, of which I believe all not associated with steroids are in the HOF. But, he was on a known heavy drug team, and there has always been rumors about him too. That, coupled with his marginal status probably is why he's not in.
The funny part is that Clemens got 8 more votes than Bonds. Both are complete and total no doubters as players who undoubtedly used steroids. I'm just curious the rationale for the 8 guys who voted yes on Clemens and no on Bonds. Obviously personal as bonds was hated, but Clemens has proven himself to be an even bigger asshole. Bonds never tried to hide that he was an asshole who hated the media. Clemens is actually more of a fake than Bonds in regard to character imo.
who actually cares about the HOF anyway? I couldn't care less what self-fellating journalists feel about baseball players. I've watched em. Bonds was amazing, as was Clemens. If they don't get elected to the HOF, it's not going to change what I watched.
Sammy Sosa. Yes, I'm the real Sammy Sosa, and this is my Pinterest.

Straight out of a JoS. A. Bank's commercial.
it's good to know that sammy went back into being black. well, sort of.
The most disturbing story about Clemens -- and one that is underreported -- is that he had a relationship with the then-unknown Mindy McCready when she was just 15.
I wonder if that contributed to how fucked up McCready eventually became, including attempting suicide while 3 moths pregnant in September, 2005.
Someone say "First ballot HOF"?
