I live in Chiang Mai, Thailand at the moment.

Was out with my GF and her friends. One of them owns a bar at a muaythai stadium directly at the ring.
There were maybe 6 or 7 fights this night and she bet in all of them against foreigners.

a. she knew all of the fighters and had a huge edge because of this.

b. she mostly bet between 500-1000 thaibaht (around 12.50-25$) against 5-10 shots of tequilla at her own bar, also some smaller bets around 100 thaibaht.

So she not only had the advantage of knowing the fighters, but also bet their $ against alcohol witch she purchases for a lower price and some of the foreigners were so drunk that they didnt drank all of the shots.

She made like +300$ tonight which is quite alot in Thailand and the fights are going on more or less every night.

I was a bit impressed and had a good laugh at the poor foreigners.

You are welcome, the north of Thailand is a beauty. Less drunks and hookers but more nice people.

Even though I am not too much into the really spicy stuff, the food here is fabulous. The northern food is in generel a bit more spicy than in the rest of Thailand.
