THE WORMHOLE HAS ACQUIRED A PICASSO ORIGINAL. HOW MUCH IS IT WORTH?

This isnt a brag thread. I have an original charcoal Picasso with all the paperwork. I have Googled "charcoal original Picasso" and every combination possible and cant find anything comparable. By comparable I mean that a lot of what I find is a lot more detailed than this piece of work.

However, since Picasso can pretty much shit on this hand and wipe it on paper and sell it for a lot I figured this could be worth a few bucks. Any one know? Obv I will go to an appraiser if I cant get any clues but if there is something comparable maybe that will save me the time.

A quick search turned up this Picasso charcoal piece that sold on eBay for $7,300. It also included a letter from Picasso to the recipient though.

Tried doing a search on the gallery and it is interesting. Sex torture kidnapping/murder by this Crispo guy, and a lot of mentions about his gallery. Also there was something about holocaust stuff, so who knows? maybe you have something awesome, but I have no idea. What does seem certain is that gallery owner had a wild history.

I came across this but sounded like a scam :

"ArtBusiness.com comment: The seller states that the drawing has provenance in the form of several letters, but that NO ONE CAN SEE IT UNTIL THE SALE IS OVER, and then ONLY THE BUYER GETS TO SEE IT. So how can prospective bidders evaluate this provenance if they can't see it? And how does not showing the provenance "protect its integrity?" "

However, if this is accurate I would guess mine would be worth less since it isnt nearly as detailed. But who knows in the fucking art world.

Even if it was a fake, it's still evidence of what a buyer may be willing to pay.

Yes, that is true. Unless they were just an easy mark

If this reference you posted is accurate this may not be nearly as exciting as I was hoping for.

You're going to Vegas in the next week. See if Pawn Stars is filming. SFO you wouldn't sell it for .50 on the dollar, but it would be hof material.

Thinking about this, it may actually increase the value of the piece if he doesn't sell it on Pawn Stars, but takes it there, has it appraised and the show airs. A fan of the show will then have proof of its worth by video and may fetch more at auction between bidders that watch the show.

I don't know if Pawn Stars has a similar rule, but I know that winners of Pimp My Ride are not allowed to boast that the car was on the show if they decide to sell it. Appearing on the show might fuel more interest in the Picasso, but they might also have language in their contract prohibiting you from running a listing like "AS SEEN ON PAWN STARS".

Unfortunately old Pablo cranked out a ton of pieces like that. My stepmom's friends have a similar one.

I think it's really cool and would love to have that in my house, but I'm also a Picasso fan.
