Anyone know anything about this? Crazy it was at the Bellagio.
Maybe the woman that attacked the dealer hit her with a bigass ring on her finger and cut her face. They're just being really vague.
Bellagio was the nicest casino for several years. Now it has been passed up, but it held that distinction for quite some time. Thats the crazy part. I wouldn't be near as surprised if it happened downtown. In all my years of casino/gambling I've never heard of 2 employees of a casino going at it. Kinda LOL. Bellagio was also center of poker world for 10ish years.
BTW, the original post i read at http://helenair.com/news/national/po...6c0bb16c7.html called it a stabbing.
Aria>Bellagio imo

Maybe it was over a guy since they were both employees?
I'm about to clean the trolling out of the thread.
Please do not troll this forum just because you don't like the topic starter. In fact, don't troll people here just because you don't like the topic of the thread, unless the topic is REALLY stupid.
And for the record, Vegas news (especially directly related to gambling) is always welcome on this forum.
Regarding the story itself, I can say that most Bellagio blackjack dealers I've encountered (especially the female ones) are very surly and seem pissed at the world.
This has always surprised me, since they are making a lot of money for what is basically an unskilled job.
At one point, Bellagio blackjack dealers were making 100k/year after tips. I think it's gone down since the economy in Vegas suffered, but they still make good money overall.
I still remember one time at Bellagio, I had my biggest blackjack hand ever, and the dealer got obnoxious with me before I even decided what to tip. I had just sat down a few minutes before that, so it wasn't about a lack of tips prior to that.
I put down $700 on one hand, which is more than I usually bet (the count was high). I got dealt a pair, so I split it. Then I got dealt the same card again. Split. Then I got deal the same card again. Split. So now the hand was 4 ways. Then two of the hands ended up being doubled, so it was a 6-way hand, worth a total of $4200. The dealer was showing a 5. I had a mixture of bad hands (below 17) and decent ones (18-20), but no 21s. Dealer turned over an 8 for 13, drew a 3 to make 16, and then drew an 8 to bust. I won all 6 bets for $4200.
Before I even got paid, the guy next to me (another player) said, "Wow! I hope you tip the dealer big on that one!"
The dealer immediately piped up in a bitchy-sounding voice, "He SHOULD tip big, but I don't know if he will."
She got zero thanks to that comment.
They are now saying on the Las Vegas news that the stabber was a poker dealer.
Last post was reported incorrectly on the news. Both dealers were "21" dealers. The assailant was on a day off and came in to do the stabbing. This was a long time grudge over a man.
This story takes a much, much darker turn. Also, how long has the Bellagio been hiring dealers with face tats?
Bail increased for woman arrested in Bellagio razor attack

BUMP
This woman won't be dealing cards at any more casinos.
She was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, but not for the co-worker stabbing. The life sentence was for the murder of a friend's 10-year-old daughter, which occurred earlier that same day.
It was never made clear why Brenda Stokes murdered the young girl, but she confessed to having done so.
Though this crime occurred in 2012, the sentence was handed down in May 2016.

Very strange, according to one article she was close with the daughter and took her out shopping often and coworker she cut up at bellagio a few people confirmed that they were best friends.
