False. Most still consider it to be top/top. The Wynn and Encore are definitely in the upper echelon, but Bellagio is still considered to be an equal, and a large portion of people still favor it over every property on the strip.

This is true but I dont get it. Even the nicer rooms at the Bellagio feel dated. It is also pretty much just as expensive as Wynn/Encore which i consider quite a bit nicer. As Lewfather pointed out though it has probably the best location on the strip.

Bellagio is most definitely the most over rated hotel on the strip as far as "luxury" goes. Take away the fountains and location and the place would struggle to attract people to pay that much. For some reason when the "average Joe" thinks luxury in Vegas they see the fountains in their mind and Bellagio is the first place they think of. Even if you just moved the bellagio to the opposite side of the boulevard less people would stay there

This woman won't be dealing cards at any more casinos.

She was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole, but not for the co-worker stabbing. The life sentence was for the murder of a friend's 10-year-old daughter, which occurred earlier that same day.

It was never made clear why Brenda Stokes murdered the young girl, but she confessed to having done so.

Though this crime occurred in 2012, the sentence was handed down in May 2016.

A judge increased bail to $600,000 for Brenda Stokes, accused of attacking a coworker at the Bellagio, as police continue investigating the death of 10-year-old Jade Morris.


Stokes, 50, was arrested Friday night after a coworker at the Bellagio was attacked with razor blades. The victim, blackjack dealer Joyce Rhone, survived the assault.

Stokes, who appeared in Las Vegas Justice Court this morning, has been charged with burglary, battery with a deadly weapon and mayhem with a deadly weapon, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday.

Several hours before the Bellagio incident, Stokes picked up Morris, the daughter of a man she dated, to go shopping, authorities said.

The girl never returned home, triggering a search by authorities, family, friends and volunteers.

On Thursday, six days after Morris disappeared, a man walking his dog in North Las Vegas found the body of a small, black female. Friday afternoon, hours after Stokes' court hearing, the Clark County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Morris. The coroner's office said the girl had died of multiple stab and incised wounds. The death was classified as a homicide, but as of late Friday afternoon no charges had been filed in the death
