This is not meant to be a stab at Jewdonk whatsoever, but I used to dominate me some ravioli back in the day. An entire meal for under $1, how could you go wrong? Many days I would eat this for lunch and dinner. I never woke up early enough to eat breakfast, so there would be consecutive days where I only had ravioli! I think I had a lot of plastic bowls that were stained red because I either cooked it too long in the microwave or failed to wash in a timely manner.

on the cheap ramen, when you have to make shit work. I also ate a lot of mid eastern, which im still very fond of. I mean one shwarma is like $3.00 but tastes delicious.

Woo! Seeing as I am probably one of the only people on here that are still young and broke, I will take this opportunity to claim this thread as cheap food ideas for me (lol), now does anyone have cheap food ideas that are healthy??

I'd rather starve than be stuck in a situation where I have to gain back weight just because I was in a money crunch.

And I never, ever cook so if I want to eat on the cheap it's always McDonalds. Knowing your way around the dollar menu is vital. Ordering a double cheeseburger is a mistake. Make sure you get a McDouble. The only difference between the two is a double cheeseburger has two pieces of cheese instead of 1, but it costs $1.29 whereas a McDouble is $1. [Bonus points if you bring your own 5c slice of cheese]. The McChicken is also quite good and is on the dollar menu. Also, some changes are coming to the dollar menu soon. The small fry and small drink are going to be removed from the dollar menu. In my opinion, the parfait is the best value on the dollar menu as far as side items go.

One thing my house went through a shitload of during college were spices, with a lot of cayenne pepper used in everything from pasta to the hamburger helper to whatever we were making that seemed a bit too bland. Even if you didn't always improve the taste a lot, you at least had the nice rush of endorphins or whatever brain jism it is that makes you feel good.

Stick with your current plan of losing weight. That will lead to many more dinners for sexual favor offers (all unspoken so morally acceptable) You can get good ideas for cheap food from the Chinese. Rice + rat (they call it ricken) is cheap.

I'd carry a Wendy's salad bar plate in my book bag and eat for free back in the days when they had a salad bar.

LOL, that's great. It reminds me of what I would do sometimes in college. UCF had meal plans, and one of them was "unlimited", so you could go to the cafeteria as many times as you want if you were on that plan. So of course if you had a friend on the unlimited meal plan they could sneak back food to you (they would give you a container since you had the option to do 'take-out').

this is solid advice, mixed herbs and chilli flakes go a long way to making cheap shitty food taste decent.

also shout out to sweet chilli sauce on 2 minute noodles or egg fried rice
