Believe it or not, TV news coverage was not much different then it is now.

I was in grade school when President Kennedy was assassinated. They ended the school day and let us go home.

I was glued to the TV that entire weekend and actually witnessed this murder live as it happened.



Yes, it was broadcast live.

Considering that tv news is only 81 years old and has only had one upgrade in delivery systems that happened in 2009, TV news is a pretty new medium. One could argue that it hasn't changed since the newsreels from the earliest days of the talkies.. oh yeah, that only happened 89 years ago. Benefit of the doubt and go to just radio news.. 92 years old. Nothing has changed much I suppose because it's only been a few years. I'm sure it seems somehow longer to you.
