So I was Downtown yesterday for a meeting and went for a walk afterwards because it had been awhile since i'd gotten some pics and wanted to see how the old bird had changed. I can tell you that the amount of people walking around in the green zone was like 4x what I had previously seen in any time in my life before on a weekday at 1pm. Tons of white collar people and pretty much every race represented. I'm not one of the Detroit cheerleaders that just use the mantra of 'Detroit Rebirth" and use phrases only a small town newspaper covering a high school football game could appreciate, but there is a palpable change down there, at least in that bit of it. I was only asked for change once, which I think is a record, and he didn't look like he needed it, again a change for the better. On top of it all he wasn't aggressive which was a huge fucking surprise, mind you I was dressed down, things may have been different had I been in Merovingian gear.
