I lol at how many people believe what they hear from politicians and how they seem to not think for themselves and just repeat the same tired old lines.

If you have money, also known as wealth, whether you are poor, average or rich - you can only do 3 things with it.
    1) Hoard it (save it somewhere safe)
    2) Spend it - for enjoyment or to sustain your life
    3) Invest it

When the government takes a cut of your wealth, this reduces a person's ability to make their own choice of what to do with their own wealth. Keep in mind that investment is not in jobs, it is in machines and shit like that. Jobs and the cost of jobs are expenses not investment. Accounting 101. Don't believe the BS about taxes stopping job creators. That is republican speak for lowering taxes on rich folks. Remember taxes are paid on profits - not on labour expenses. Taxes are calculated after all the work of the workers we care so much about has already been done and paid for. I run a small business - and I could give two shits whether the federal tax on my profit is 18% or 22%. I am happy to be a smart enough business person and competitive enough to make a profit. Of course I wish my taxes were 0 - but my point is that I don't change my business because the rate changes a few points. I neither hire or fire a person because of the tax rate. I hire and fire people either because they are good and they can make me money or because they suck and are costing me money - all this in the context of whether or not I operate a business well enough to make a profit - which really is important.

My view on things is if you think it is ok to tax wealth - then you really are not a nice person - since you think it is ok for the government to steal from its citizens. People and their wealth should be left alone. People should be free to do as they please with their wealth.
Its fairly obvious that for all his knowledge on investing and government, Walter is quite poor. It seems he may be all show and no go when it comes to making money. Atleast Dirty stated his finances and I appreciate that. His family has a solid household income, almost triple the average. Kudos to them. It's too bad I disagree with him on basically everything but he is honest, I will give him that.

    Dirty, are you a golfer?

I decline to discuss my finances. I hope you are doing well.
I am doing well but I'm pissed off at the Obama administration and I'll tell you why. I just purchased a house, for 300k, and I had to pay cash thanks to your Dodd-Frank bullshit. You see, they don't believe us self-employed deserve a mortgage. And with all the bullshit they put me through, I was forced to use cash to purchase this because my deadline with the seller was running out and I didn't have the heart to walk away, since she already made her moving plans. I am currently trying to get a cash out re-fi. My mortgage broker is telling me standards will be tightening yet again come Jan 1, thanks to Obamas re-election.

FYI, my credit score is very near 800 and my liquid assets are substantial.

Personally I feel if someone has a very high credit score and a certain percentage in liquid assets compared to the sale price of house it should almost be a signiture loan at that point. Do you agree? I know I know. Class warfare.

The funny thing about liberals is they have NOTHING in common with the constituents they claim to support. Obama won some precincts in Philadelphia 100%-0. I'd like to bring Dirty B or Walt to these areas and they would literally piss down their leg. I'd love to see clowns like this explain to these people some Keynesian Economics on a Friday night.

Guys like this live in a MSNBC bubble, not in the real world.

I tend to agree with you on that point. It's difficult to strike a balance between rules tight enough to keep the unqualified out of mortgages that will eventually default and allowing mortgages for those who can afford it but might not qualify under standard metrics as in your situation. glad it worked out for you though.

I don't want to discuss my finances because it's private. There's no way to verify it and I have no interest in a prick waving contest.

Yes. I will bet you $50 that the unemployment numbers for April 2013 will be lower than October 2012. As shown here-

I would bet you a lot more, but I'm afraid that Boehner the Republican House will do something retarded.
Looks like I owe you $50, pm me your paypal info.
