Made various changes to the forum

1) Added forum navigation link to bottom of threads

Now if you want to go back to the list of threads, you don't have to scroll to the top. I put the same links at the bottom, right below the "Previous Thread / Next Thread" links. This would have happened sooner, but as has been widely reported, I'm clueless about vBulletin.


2) Disabled quoting in PM system

Quoting was happening automatically when replying to people's PMs, and it would turn into a huge mess after you exchanged a few back and forth. I turned this off. (Believe it or not, vBulletin doesn't have a way to do this normally.)


3) Restricted 'nested' quoting to two in forum

You know when you reply to a message with a quote, and that quote gets quoted in a smaller box? Well, multiply this by several times and it becomes a mess. Now I changed it to where only two levels of quotes appear, so the forum becomes easier to read. It was initially one level, then I changed it to unlimited, now it's 2.


4) Everyone now gets an e-mail when they receive a private message.

Vwls, I took your design, shrunk it down to 150% the size of the old one, and slapped it up there.

Oh, and I had to color the background like the forum background.

I think it looks pretty good, though. Let me know what you think.

Oh my bad - I meant the icon on the far right. That's the one that shows up on the iPhone. If it was just a touch bigger, you could hit it without having to expand the screen.

Okay, put it in both places.

Also I shrunk it to 15x15 instead of 18x18, since someone was complaining it was making the page appear strange on their browser:



The original size was 12x12. I took it up to 18x18, now it's 15x15 on both sides.

If I navigate to the forum and then to a subforum the display works just fine. However, if I click on the 'New Posts' option in the toolbar then the bottom few pixels of the rows are truncated.

Is there another CSS to be modded? Perhaps call 1-800-jewdonk for guidance


Edit: As per your PM, I refreshed the page and it reappeared correctly. Issue resolved.

I really like the way the new icon looks even though it still doesn't show up on the right side on my iPhone... must be a quirk of the phone's OS.

Why did you have to recolor the background - it was transparent, yes?
