    Bodog/Bovada experts -- how do I reach a manager at the company?

    When I say "manager", I am not referring to upper management. I am referring to someone above the level of the dopes they have answering the customer service line. They are shutting me out and refusing to let me get above the supervisor level.

    Here is my problem:

    I don't ever get any promotions on my account. And when I say never, I mean NEVER. Beerandpoker, for example, mentioned that he recently got a great deposit promotion to where he received a 40% bonus bet in the sportsbook.

    Not only don't I get things like that, I don't even get smaller promotions or reload bonuses. I get nothing. It has been this way for years.

    Here are some examples of how I get nothing, while others in my spot get something:

    1) The account was very active in 2007, then aid dormant for years. Others in that spot got some nice deposit bonuses to return, I got nothing.

    2) Once my account was re-activated and used semi-frequently, it got nothing, despite actually showing a net loss since being reactivated. Others in my spot, again, got nice promotions in e-mail. I got nothing.

    3) Nearly everyone I know seems to get reload bonuses every so often, even if they don't need it. I haven't gotten one of those since 2007.


    So for whatever reason, Bodog/Bovada's promotion department either doesn't like my account, or there's some technical problem to where promotions just aren't reaching me.

    I verified that the e-mail address is correct, and it's not getting lost by any spam check or anything like that.

    I called customer service this weekend about the matter, and the conversations were beyond frustrating. The following happened:

    1) They acknowledged that I get no promotions. They will not tell me why, other than, "Promotions are account-specific, and we can't offer you promotions when you call to request them."

    2) They refused to look into why I am getting no promotions, other than checking my e-mail address. They refused to contact the promotions department.

    3) I was offered a one-time reload bonus of 10% up to $1000 (meaning a max of $100). They reminded me that this bonus was a one-time exception and I would never be given a bonus again by calling and asking for it.

    4) When I asked for a manager, both supervisors got very obnoxious. They both told me, "I've already answered all of your questions", and "We won't connect you to a manager about this matter." When I said I wanted to speak to a manager about a different matter, they of course didn't believe me and refused to connect me. When I called back and tried to bullshit that I had a different reason to speak to a manager, they saw the notes and told me that they "know why I'm calling" and that I can't speak to a manager.



    All I want is to be able to speak to someone with authority at the company, who can talk to the promotions department and tell me what the hell is going on with my account. Basically, why is everyone else getting promotions and I absolutely NEVER do?

    They now have my account on lockdown to where they absolutely will never let me talk to a manager, and the supervisors just repeat the same shit to me without answering anything.

    Not sure why they don't give you a promo but that sucks. The promos I usually get offered are sportsbook (I'd prefer poker but that isn't bad) or lame casino games which I'll never use.

    Sometimes they randomly give me $10-50 if my account balance goes to zero and I have never been a high volume player on their site.

    Their credit card deposit option is the biggest joke in the industry since not only are they charging you 4.9% but your credit card company will charge you like 3% as well for an International transaction fee. I realized this once when I put like $50 on a few of these sites just to screw around in a few $10 donkaments which it sucks but for a small amount it's not too bad.

    For example you said you wanted to put $2500 on if you did that by credit card your talking about nearly 8% vig (bodog fee + credit card international transaction fee) so that would be taking two $100 bills and lighting them on fire.

    Bovada should want your business and at least get rid of that 4.9% fee since people already have to pay the international transaction fee and they are making money regardless. They do waive this fee for many people on their first credit card deposit but they should waive it for all for all the money they will make off each deposit in the near future.

    The CC I just got has no international fee. It just depends on what you're using.

    Very little/no RB, very few promotions, etc. They feel like if they make a good poker environment with plenty of fish, then pros will come there without incentives. They have been explicit about this stuff for a few years.

    Yeah I've noticed that, but let's just say I have a "friend" who played on Bodog and was a big winner there, and while he didn't exactly get wonderful promotions, he at least got something occasionally.

    This account of mine has actually been offered NOTHING in the past 5+ years, and it has even lost in recent times, so I don't know what to say.

    So does anyone have any idea how to reach a manager, or am I just fucked and need to decide whether I want to accept the lame $100 one-time bonus and deal with it?

    Call this number 1-866-502-3365 and ask to speak with Neil.. U may have to demand and threaten them to get him on phone cuz they r pricks about putting him on. Also this lady becky@bodogbrand.com can help you with any issue u have. She is more with bodog asia now but if u email her she will be able to get in touch with anyone u need. That bodog prick that post here is nothing more then an affiliate fag and cant do shit

    I've always felt that certain gambling companies profile their customer base purely on deposit information. I am going to bed, and don't feel like listing my myriad reasons for thinking this, but in general, when you make mostly large deposits relative to the average customer, particularly in this non-competitive environment, they simply take an educated gamble that you won't not play over lack of an inconsequential bonus. Obviously you are Druff, and that's a bad gamble with you, but in general, probably not a bad gamble generally with customers who are always depositing 4 and 5 figures minimum. I have felt this way for awhile based on similar lack of offers I have received relative to others who play and gamble at far lower stakes than I did when I was actively playing and depositing. You are profiled as a high end customer, but that isn't necessarily lucrative for a company providing poker as compared to high-end customers in any other business where you are actively catered to. The high-end is a negative in this case, because they assume you're of means where a deposit bonus won't impede you from playing.

    2) The do have managers on the floor at this department from 9-5 EST, so I'll try back then


    Like an masochist, I called back regular customer service and gave it one more shot, and ran into the same frustrating bullshit as before.

    They promised to connect me to a manager, only to connect me to a supervisor again.

    There was one kinda LOL part, where that supervisor said that she wasn't refusing to connect me to a manager, but one just wasn't available. So we had this conversation:

    Me: So when are managers available/

    Supervisor: There is no set time they are here.

    Me: Okay, I will just keep calling back every 2 hours for the next week until you guys can find one.

    Supervisor: You can do that, but managers don't take incoming calls.

    Me: Wait, so you're telling me I am not allowed to reach one? But I know someone who has reached one, and in fact I was in the room when he did.

    Supervisor: Well, they will take calls if they are on the floor, but it's not often because they are hardy ever here.

    Me: Exactly. So I will just keep calling back every 2 hours until I find one. And if they ask why I am calling so often, I will give your name and tell them that you advised me that the only reason I couldn't talk to one is because none were around.

    Supervisor: That's not what I said. I said they just don't take incoming calls.

    Me: No, you said they do if they're around.

    Supervisor: Yes, they do, but they are not around very much.

    Me: Okay, so that's why I'm calling back every 2 hours. I will make sure to give your name each time and let them know that I am repeatedly calling because you told me I just need to luck into a manager being there.

    She also claimed at one point that no Bovada customer has ever spoken to a manager, but when I claimed to have personally heard someone do so, she backed away from that claim.

    I also just banned the Bovada Service account.

    It never verified its e-mail, and was left in "new account" state for months.

    The reason it never verified the e-mail is because it provided a phony e-mail address.

    I think badguy23 is right. This wasn't anyone actually from Bovada. Whoever it is has been banned until they prove they are really representing Bovada.

    Sometimes the bonuses are paid for by the affiliate that is getting a small percentage of your play. If you sign up directly then that becomes an inhouse dept. This can be the reason why some people get some promotional offers and others do not.

    Druff your best bet is Becky but call and ask for Riley, Neil was there last week if he quit he must of done so since last time I spoke with him. They r pricks about getting a manager on the phone that can actually help. Riley has to be in charge now if Neil is gone. They are not even in same country as the customer service ppl. Those nits are in the Phillipines. I believe the managers are in Costa Rica. Also if you cant get a manager the 2 best customer service supervisors are named Lay and Mary ask for them..

    Honestly, let me say that at times I don't agree with what you do or how you handle things, but I do like you and think you're great druff. However, if I ever ran a business, I would avoid you like the plague. You are honestly the type of customer that people don't want. I'm not surprised they are doing this to you, and feel that they should just cut their loses with you know and run. They have 100000 of other people begging to give them their money, why deal with someone as entitled as you? Now, since I'm not the owner / work for them, stick it to those fucks until they block you out completely or give in and give you whatever you want!!!

    Pretty sure this one isn't personal, as Bodog/Bovada is known for giving the middle finger to all but the biggest donks on their site. They are also known to have shitty customer service. People put up with it for years because the games were good.

    I am not entitled. I don't feel I deserve more than anyone else. In fact, this is a case where I want equal treatment. I don't expect the same promotions as they give to the big losers on their site, but there is an almost-random inequity, where people with very similar stats/playing habits get wildly different promotions. In this case, I am getting absolutely nothing, while others I know who play there (and win) get routine reload bonuses and other promos.

    The problem is that it's very difficult to reach management there, and even if you do, it's hit-or-miss whether they want to help you. This isn't Pokerstars where, love 'em or hate 'em, management is always accessible and at least attempts to look at your case with some semblance of logic. At Bovada, you are dealing with trained monkeys in the Philippines who are reading from a script and a rulebook, and aren't allowed to deviate.

    Why do you feel so entitled to a bonus simply because others get them? It's their business. Shouldn't they be allowed to run it as they please, regardless of how it makes you feel? There is obviously a reason that you aren't being offered anything, and they obviously aren't gonna explain it to you. You asked for something for free, they turned you down. Which is perfectly within their rights to do. Maybe at the Special Olympics, everyone gets a medal, and everything is fair. Life isn't like the Special Olympics, and it isn't fair a lot of the times. This happens to be one of those times.
