    Official Lincoln Movie Review

Movie kicks off November 16th. Been a while since I have been to a movie theater, these places are generally creepy. Think about it, how many red multi colored felt seats do you really want to sit in? Plus there is always some fucking asshole that feels the need to give his opinion on the movie right behind you. This is why I generally sit right next to the wall at a right angle. You don't get the best view but you better enjoy the movie. I also go to the earliest possible viewing because if you go to a 9pm Friday night everything is fucked up.

Back to the movie, I am actually looking forward to this. Not a huge fan of a non American playing Lincoln but the guy that beat the dude to death with a bowling alley pin gets huge respect.

Trip report to follow November 16th.

It's Spielberg in non-popcorn mode directing one of the top 5 greatest actors working today. Movie should be clutch.

Note: The movie takes place during a very brief time in Lincoln's life.

Also, go to showings early in the day (never at night) and you will save your self all kinds of nonsense.

Not in the mood for this movie right now. I heard 'Flight' is epic, and Roger Ebert says the opening sequence is like something he has never seen. That is all the validation I need.

Going at the 2:30 showing today for Flight. I am a bit hesitant to go to movie theaters, especially when they are empty. I always have a sinking feeling someone is going to roll up behind me with a rope chain, ala end of Godfather 1 in the car. Should be crowded today so I should be fine.

Will give my review next week.

I saw Flight last week. It was a bit darker than the previews would lead you to believe, which is not an issue unless you are bringing a kid obv. I thought it was pretty good.

My kid saw it and said it was good, that's all I need. I do recommend Skyfall however.

Liked it, but just wish it was more of a Bond movie. At least it finally got everything into place for the Daniel Craig Bond.

Everyone has a personal preference on which Bond they feel is the 'best' Bond and i'm totally for the difference in opinion. I have always been a Moore fan and considered HIM as Bond, and Connery I got into later as I was able to see those movies posthumously. Really about when I was born I suppose. For me the Craig Bond is the best re-incarnation of the man because of the disturbing realism that they added to a guy who was set out into the world to cut the head off of snakes that could cause trouble to the Crown. They turned Bond from a cartoon character into a living, breathing sociopath that really killed people for a living. Stark and disturbing, much like what guys that are really like that guy actually have to go through. Craig is it for me.

Love you FTPJ but I meant the films before I was born, not the human that portrayed the character.

4Dragons nailed most of it. Typically most people prefer the version that they first saw (even more so if its a sequel/remake since time has passed and techniques improve).

The only Bond films I didnt like were the Timothy Dalton ones, partly due to one of the two not even really a Bond film.

Moore's Bond is good, although some of the stories or situations are goofy and he was possibly older than he should have been.
Pierce Brosnan was a great choice and other getting forced to have some cheesy lines, his movies were good to great (except Die Another Day, too much "20th edition lets reference the previous movies and have a fanboy circle jerk").

The Casino Royale remake was mostly good. The black and white to set up the reboot and introducing "Quantum" was good, but fuck, the movie just went on way way way too long. They should have ended it after he killed Le Chiruffe, and then used Vespa's death as a "Bond Opener". clearly they werent confident it'd be a successful movie and have a sequel.

"Quantum of Solace": Overlal concept, bah humbug. "Water, they are stealing water!!!!".

SkyFall will probably the first Bond movie I wont see in the cinemas since I was 10 years old. The storyline initially sounds like "Mission Impossible" and some of the other elements just sound overdone or "who cares".
When faced with a difficult decision, ask yourself "What would Micon do?", then do the opposite.

If you sit in the back row, the only person that can kill you is the guy working the projector, so if its digital, you should be ok.

that and negros in your row. they could kill you.
