Pokerstars has already flubbed the Full Tilt relaunch -- at least for US players

Most (or all) US players are seeing a zero real money balance when logging into their Full Tilt account.

While this is probably just an error that will be fixed fairly soon, it's a really bad PR blunder, and just rubs salt in the wounds of the people who have felt like their money on Full Tilt was really gone all this time.

Pokerstars should have made sure that Full Tilt's client showed the correct balances -- or at least said "Balances not available yet for US players", rather than the ominous $0.00.

I'm sure nearly everyone's first reaction has been, "Crap! They lost record of the money I had there!", and that's the last thing players should have to go through at this point.

It is more likely that predeal the old Full Tilt management had a bunch of balances altered in order to make their books look better. Stars only figured this out based on the barrage of calls.

When Lederer was asked about it, he responded:

Can you link me to the 2+2 thread discussing this specific claim about Full Tilt?

No, I stopped reading 2+2 when they started using 1/4 of my screen for ads. Even with the ads blocked the reserved ad banner space remained. f mason

I don't think they have anything to do with this anymore. It is in the DOJ hands. I am sure if they could flash our balances for us they would

I dont get any balance, just a play money balance when I log in. Bugs me because we were led to believe it would at least show up in some form. If not baring a screenshot how the hell do we verify our online balance and ensure we're getting something close to what we're owed by the DOJ or whoever is paying us

Why would usa players expect to have money on fulltilt? DOJ has the money... Is it just me or is this not extremely obvious?

Fact of the matter no US players have any money of FTP anymore. DOJ has 100% control.

As the story was told originally it was supposed to show us our balances so we could compare to the DOJ repayment (unless Im totally off base). Baring some written record of what our balance is/was, or a screenshot DOJ or whoever could just pull a number out their ass for our balance. I know roughly how much but not exactly and I sure dont trust Uncle Sam to give me back everything Im owed based on their accounting practices.

Because it looks terrible, and it rubs salt in the wounds of people with money stuck on FTP.

    It also gives zero explanation.

How hard would it be for FTP to put a pop-up saying, "If you are a US player, your balance will show zero for the time being, even if you still had money on the site as of April 15, 2011. You will receive contact in the future regarding your actual balance and how to claim it through the US Department of Justice."

I shipped a few hundo from FTP to Stars yesterday. Went thru instantly.

Also got 3/444 in my first MTT back.

In closing, welcome back FTP, You are God.
