Best Character 2000-2005 (the beginning of the golden age)
Al Swearengen on Deadwood- couldn't understand what the hell he was talking about in the first couple of episodes, but he turned into a great anti hero
First, welcome to the fold!
Second: after reading the thread title I came in to post Swearengen/Deadwood. I still feel that show deserved another season (a fucking criminal pattern that HBO has developed with killing shows without any resolution to story lines. All why seeming to give not-one-fucks if the show is still popular.....outrageous given the fact that HBO is a pay-channel! Rome, Deadwood, Carnival and others come to mind, but I digress).
Third: The Imp, Aria and her assassin (I could name nearly half the cast of thrones really), Sheldon Cooper, Barry Weiss (fuck Dave Hester ffs!), and Parker at the Big-Nugget mine. I know some of these are real-life-characters, but they are some of the best on TV today IMO.
