    *** OFFICIAL 2025 NFL PLAYOFFS THREAD ***

Chargers got massacred by the Texans, not really that surprising.

The Steelers are currently playing the Ravens. It was 21-0 at the half, and Pitt looked completely stagnant. They are trying to mount a comeback. That's been the case for them in the playoffs for years now.

Look at their record for the last 10. They last won a playoff game with Roethlisberger.

It's been popular to pile on Russell Wilson, but watching them play shows very clearly that he has next to no help from both an uninspired offense and completely ineffectual offensive scheme with terrible play calling. Anytime they let him throw a deep ball it's clear he still has something left in the tank.

Tomlin has quietly become the new Marvin Lewis. It's weird seeing a franchise like the Steelers be ok with 8 years of mediocrity.

Russell Wilson in 11 games started:

    2482 yards passing 16 tds, 5 ints, 95.6 rating

Patrick Mahomes in 16 games started:

    3928 26 tds, 11 ints, 93.5 rating

    Wilson is not the problem.

Eagles beat Packers, Bills crushed Broncos - both were expected. The only game that's a bit of a toss up is about to kickoff on NBC and the Peacock app.

Buccs have won 6 out of 7 and Washington has won 5 in a row. Line is -3. If forced to pick I'm going with the home team.

    I'm rooting for a Buffalo/Minnesota SB

ROFL Sam Darnold. This is one of the best all around teams in the last few years otherwise.

Horrible game for him, but I always got the feeling that this Vikings team was 22-23 all over again.

This had to eventually catch up with the Lions:

The Detroit Lions are currently missing several key defensive starters due to injuries:
    • Aidan Hutchinson (Defensive End): Suffered a broken tibia and fibula in October and is out for the season.
    • Alex Anzalone (Linebacker): Sustained a broken left forearm in November, with an expected recovery time of 6 to 8 weeks, potentially returning during the postseason.
    • Alim McNeill (Defensive Tackle): Underwent season-ending knee surgery in December.
    • Carlton Davis III (Cornerback): Suffered a jaw injury in December and is out indefinitely.
    • Malcolm Rodriguez (Linebacker): Tore his ACL in November and is out for the season.
    • Marcus Davenport (Defensive End): Suffered a triceps injury in September and is on injured reserve.

Additionally, defensive lineman Pat O’Connor is listed as out for the upcoming game due to a calf injury.

In total, the Lions are currently missing at least six defensive starters, along with key rotational players, impacting their defensive depth.
Hutchinson is probably the best player on the team. It's commendable that they got the 1 seed with their defense being decimated.

That pick just now will probably cost them the game.

Just more horrendous "offensive genius" play calling. Let's call a play action bootleg in the snow and lose 13 yards when your running back is having a historic game with two tries to get 6 six yards and seal the game. ROFL

Philly just keeps quietly rolling. Funny how there was all this hype about prior Philly teams, all of which disappointed, and this one (ranked between 7-11 on most preseason analyses), is now going to the championship game.

Of course that's nothing like Washington which was ranked 24-28. What was Washington's line preseason for winning the Super Bowl? Anyone know?

I felt the whole way that Minnesota was a fraud, like the 2022-23 version.

Never really believed in Green Bay even though so many people loved them. They were already slipping at the end.

Niners were top 3 on most lists, and some had them as the Super Bowl champs. What a fail.

100% thought the same thing at the time. With a gimpy QB at least run it to right but better yet give it to Barkley.

Currently playing a drinking game with the lovely and talented Mrs. Bagadonuts which requires a drink every time Romo says Jim. Highly recommended.

Chiefs fans keep trying to draw comparisons to the Patriots as if it makes the blatant rigging of games OK. It was never like this with Brady and co., nowhere even remotely close.
