We don’t know exactly who called in tips or not. But not only did he have very distinctive features but his name was also fucking Luigi. People will remember a guy named Luigi. Plus all the other stuff about being valedictorian and what not. I will say back pain can make you a miserable fucking bastard. But this is the first I’ve heard of a bad back radicalizing someone who already had contempt for corporate America into an Assassin.

This has to start somewhere kind of major dialogue on these masks. We always knew that it can be abused in many ways. Now, if Ike Haxton wants to mask up to troll people & cover tells….whatever. But here we have the first really high profile use of the normalization of masks being used in a high profile crime.

I’m diabetic. I wore the fucking masks. I took 3 clot shots. I didn’t want to die. But I haven’t wore a mask in over 2 years and after the first booster I stopped with the fucking shots. People who want or need to wear a mask should get some kind of certification from the DR and be forced to at least show it when asked by authority figures. I don’t imagine it would be a big deal to get it. But we can’t have lunatics taking advantage of the normalization of masking.

Even if you’re healthy and want to mask…let’s get a Dr. to sign off you’re not a fucking lunatic. I am all for personal freedom. But this has just gone too far and it’s putting others in danger. You want to mask all the time….Ask your Dr to print out a card for you and you can cover your face until the cows come home.

at some point it would behoove you to realize that VC bros arent dem, they are just performatively anti-sheep. they embrace the creativity and adventurism of the left because they understand the power of 'outside the box' solutions, but they have no moral or emotional allegiance to civil rights or social equality or human dignity.

Mask or no mask, he was going to kill the guy. People put on a mask when robbing a liquor store or bank for a hundred years when it wasn't normalized or common. It's not like he went on a killing spree with the mask on after. He killed the guy he wanted to kill and no one else. You think there wasn't criminals committing crimes with masks on in NY before Covid? About the only difference is he may have taken a few more days to get caught. Or maybe it gave him false sense of comfort and he would have been in someone's basement for a month is previous years?

Honestly the net benefit of everyone wearing a mask all the time would probably save like 50k lives and several billion dollars a year conservatively and you'd get a few of these, but these would happen anyway. My doctor is a serious conservative. He kept the mask thing for a year past when it was mandatory because he said he didn't have to scramble every day with his staff sick and patients getting other patients sick. He eventually dropped it when he said he got sick of arguing with no nothings every day telling him nonsense they read on the internet about breathing or whatever. He said he had to wear one for 16 hours a day for years during residency and so did all his peers with zero residual effects. He just got sick of arguing and scrapped it.

I didn't wear a mask during covid except when I walked into a store or office that required it. I wouldn't now unless I had to. I also expected a super rise in crime with all the masks. I remember making a post about it. It never happened.

I was happy to see Penny found not guilty. The crazy guy had a long history of violence. He had refused help offered. I am sure he was mentally ill, but you can't just assault people regularly and not expect to run into someone capable of ending that shit.

The right likes to talk about second amendment remedies all the time. They make up fake stories, get in front of a judge and lose, and then still talk about second amendment remedies.

These companies write AI programs designed to immediately deny coverage to people who have paid for it for years. This isn't auto insurance. Their choices sometimes kill people who had justifiable claims. That is before you get into the fact, he seems to be a scumbag in many other ways. I bet the other CEOs have thought more about how callously they deny people at the worst times of their lives more this week than they have before.

In both cases, whether it's the homeless violent guy put down by Penny or the CEO, do you think someone isn't going to call you on your behavior eventually? If I was a CEO of a sometimes-ruthless company, I would be watching my back. Everything that's happened of late on both sides of the political spectrum is a populist uprising.

I don't see anyone mad at actual health care professionals. I don't see any negativity towards doctors or nurses or anyone else who is actually a health care provider. This is an insurance company.

I have no idea with this kid? A dead parent is a better story than a back problem, however crippling those may be. He seems to have come from wealth. There are all kinds of people with stories who would be a better defendant unless there is more to the story. I see a mixed bag of reactions and they aren't really necessarily strictly political team sports.

I would posit the more you have dealt with a health insurance company over a serious issue the less you care about this CEO because you recall a time when they clearly didn't give a fuck about you or your loved ones and thrust you into an endless loop of bullshit all with the clear motive to wear you down or outlast you.
