Poker Staking Site StakeKings now including Online Casino Games

Saw this post on Twitter earlier.

So Stake is a “Social Casino” that has many streamers on the platform “Kick”. Kick is owned by Stake. I don’t follow it much, but I know it has become a pretty big genre. Questions if their big streamers are actually gambling with their own money or a portion of it, etc are always being asked.

This gentleman David (Whale) Tran (LOL) is apparently using the poker staking site to bring both funds and eyeballs to his stream. I have no idea how successful he has been. It appears that he may just be starting out. But the question is…should Poker Staking sites allow people to fund clearly recreational online gambling? I guess if it’s legal they can do it. But if this does grow lots of people are going to get stuck their asses.

Stake.com sent me an email saying that I need to do Level 2 verification in order to keep playing. That means they want ID information and mobile phone number. It looks like they are withdrawing from the USA market.

These tweets are getting very little engagement. I think there really isn’t a huge crossover between the poker staking markets and online gambling. As it is a general rule that most poker players try to abstain from this kind of stuff. I think it’s a slow time right now between the World Series and the WPT Wynn and WSOP Bahamas stuff in December.

I also think that players that can raise funds without using a staking site will circumvent having to give a percentage to the staking site. So the players that go up on the site maybe less known and less desirable investments as time goes on.

But any money they can have come through the site and skim off the top is better than nothing. But I don’t see this type of casino stream staking becoming a huge money maker.

yeah, they are doing a huge KYC movement right now. I would think they are trying to go legit rather than withdraw. idk tho. they are printing $ and kick is the crank. but i enjoy it, so it is what it is.
