    Vance needs to stick to Harris’ record and avoid coming across as Trump Jr.

    I wouldn’t even talk much about Walz at all if I was him.

    He should dissect that bullshit border bill if it’s brought up, it was a terrible bill.

    Walz has claimed he's not a good debater, and the Dems have been trying hard to prep him, including Pete Buttigieg pretending to be Vance (lol). Maybe while they're together Walz can ask Buttigieg some tips for coming out of the closet.

    Vance has done a lot of adversarial interviews since being named Trump's VP candidate, and has handled himself very well. The funny thing with Vance is that his awkward/embarrassing moments came during speeches and campaign stops, yet he's done great when under fire.

    For this reason it's assumed he will be quick on his feet to answer the tough questions and Walz's criticisms, whereas Walz may have trouble with this. Hopefully Vance can accomplish what Trump couldn't, and highlight the fact that Harris is essentially a reelection of Biden, because she's been there since 2021.

    If Harris were a reelection of non-senile Biden, I’d vote for her. She’s not even close. There’s a reason they stuck her in the White House basement with no responsibility for 3 1/2 years.     Trump has been a grifter his entire life. He's a high functioning narcissist and likely a sociopath. He only cares about himself. Melania probably had little to do with her book, it's all Trump. He's now selling watches for 100K.

    The American spirit is real but also divided and unpredictable. Trump has tapped into that division and is using it for personal gain. The limelight he desires has also exposed the illegal activities used to profit. No person convicted of fraud, stealing from and defaming fellow citizens and their government should ever obtain the highest office of the land. The disinformation he spreads led to an insurrection and he now faces charges of treason. That's the cherry on top for a serial fraud

    Vance’s problem is going to be when he brings up facts about what Timmy has said, he will be considered mean and hateful when the recaps of the debate are covered by the media.

    Walz is so far left he makes Bernie seem middle of the road. The lockdowns and the narc hotlines absolutely need to be brought up by JD. Along with the tampons in boys rooms. These are not positions Independent voters still undecided support.

    As with most debates it should be a wash, the previous two (Trump/Biden, Harris/Trump) were the only two that were a bloodbath. Neither Walz nor Vance is senile or easily triggered.

    Both sides will jump on 1-2 talking points and claim victory.

    Putting a national spotlight on Vance is a negative sunk cost at this point, likely has been deep into social skills training as prep as a means to appear normal and not scare off women.

    Trump doesn't read or even write his own books or anything beyond a caps lock rage tweet, so IDK how much the Project 2025 stuff sticks to him. JD wrote the forward, he's doing debate prep with one of the authors, and it's clear the majority of Americans don't like the sound of it.

    I mean if I am coaching Walz, Vance has said enough dumb shit that regardless of question, I am simply having him pivot and interject some of that dumb shit back into the public consciousness. I am ending any answer with... and that is why I don't want JD and his nutjobs who want to turn America into Gilead with Project 2025 in power. And it doesn't matter if half the audience doesn't get the reference, because they'll google it and think damn he does sound like that.

    JD was just doing mock trials at Yale a decade ago. He's awkward trying to speak to normal people, but he is going to be really good in an academic debate setting. I think the best you can hope to do is remind everyone of how strange all his comments have been and keep bringing up Project 2025. I think the post-debate will see Vance as the victor, but if google searches go up on Project 2025 and his weird comments, it's largely going to be a wash.

    I would also have something in the closing statement from Walz about how he's the same guy he's always been and how Vance was the NYT and MSNBC liberal darling a decade ago calling rural people hillbillies until he decided to grift them once that book advance money ran out.

    One guy was a football coach for decades. The other guy was in drag a decade ago.

    I didn't like Walz pick. He basically got picked because he threw out the weird label and it stuck and they rewarded him. He got lucky. Think he was a bad pick. He performed below Biden in rural counties in Minn. So what does he bring? I thought Mark Kelly was no brainer. Shapiro would have lost young voters and rural voters in PA hate him.

    Both guys were bad choices.

    I don't golf with some low IQ inbreds. No one cares who is voting for who. I live in Trump area, but it's not like I like kamala. I just don't worship Trump like a cult member and don't associate with those who do. Those type are the ones blowing leaves off the green, not golfing.

    If I was Vance, I’d hit Kamala on the border all day. I’d hit her on inflation all night. I’d hit her on mandatory gun buy backs and being a foe to oil and gas all afternoon.

    Her policy ideas are never ever ever going to happen….of course neither are Trumps.
