If I get a golden ticket and by some miracle finish in the money I’ll put 10% toward a radio freeroll.

So two lurkers and I’m guessing DJ Chaps Christian name is Daniel?

In all seriousness I appreciate SS giving these seats away over here. Lurker/Poster ratio is so large I figured odds of an old school reg were small. Congrats to the winners. Thanks again SS.

    Some updates:

    - I received a cease and desist from Matt Damon's lawyers

    - A total of 5 people have won passports with code THOMAS

    - One of them was Krypt! See you in Vegas!

    - Another one is user Smotorious. I don't know much about him, but he he's been a PFA member since 2012

    - I have no idea who the other 3 are, maybe radio listeners

Good luck to all of the 5 winners so far!

One of the radio winners contacted me and told me that he won, and almost was in disbelief. This guy has loved the show for a long time, and I'm very happy he won. He doesn't post on the forum, so none of you know him, but I met him at WSOP.

Glad to see we got at least 2 forum guys out of this, Krypt and Smotorious.

From what I am seeing, the field is going to be the softest of any large guarantee tournament in history. I wish I could play, not kidding.

The structure is probably fast, so obv you can't sit around waiting for KK/AA or flopping sets.

With that said, note that you'll be against mostly donks, so don't throw away your chips in gambly spots unnecessarily. Note that people will probably have a hard time folding if they have any good piece of the flop, so expect to be paid off if your opponents flop top pair, a flush draw, an open ended straight draw, etc.

So if you have a strong made hand, don't fuck around with slowplaying. Just hammer it quickly and they will probably pay you off.

If you get ground down to a short stack, you will have to start taking chances, and shove all in with okayish hands, provided nobody has already entered the pot.

Keep in mind that if you try to isolate a short stack by shoving over him, there's a decent chance he calls, since donks don't like to fold. So don't do this with a hand with poor showdown value, such as QTs.

Like Matt Damon protect your NIL, Krypt. Druff has a few shekels and merch. At the very least he can get Drexel to pick you up at the airport.

No one better than you to represent the brand though. Happy you won a seat.

You’ll likely continue your luckbox life run. I have no doubt

Good luck Druff and the rest of the crew. What’s the deal with the no shows? There is going to be a number of them I would have to guess. I would think they are trying to get the ambassadors to weed them out and try and re-giveaway the seat to someone with the means to come. Will they have last minute giveaways on site to fill seats or will they remain vacant and help everyone’s equity? Was always curious how they would deal with this.

I don’t have a problem how they deal with it really. If I was playing ofc I would be biased to let those seats stay empty if the person doesn’t show. Obviously this gets people to Vegas that may not have gone in the first place, but the main reason was to get a big ass number of people signed up for WPT Gold. Even if most will never deposit a wooden nickel…I am sure they will get a decent percentage of customer acquisition now they got an email list they can use in marketing.

BTW thx SS again for giving us all a shot. Maybe they can reign in the number of seats Brad gives away next year to less than half the field.

How did Druff “win” his seat?

Lame that only one real member won.

    Good luck Krypt!

"The Club WPT Freeroll Passport is not just our nation's highest civilian honor—it's a tribute to the idea that all of us, no matter where we come from, have the opportunity to change this country for the better. From scientists, philanthropists, and public servants to activists, athletes, artists, and long time limit grinders who selflessly run sites at a loss & protect the community from scammers, these individuals have helped push America forward, inspiring millions of people around the world along the way."

    Adam Pliska, WPT CEO

In all seriousness they held alot of giveaways. I’m guessing Druff may have submitted something technical. But either way he deserves a seat for all he has done for poker regardless. Break a leg Druff & Krypt!

I am still really interested how they will deal with the no shows. Going to Vegas, especially if you require a long flight, isn’t cheap. I hope for Druff’s sake they don’t fill these seats with last minute impromptu giveaways to people hanging around on site. Don’t dilute Druff/Krypt’s equity!

Reg’d yesterday to avoid the mob today. Little lounge with some pop, snacks, and games to play. Gave a nice backpack, hats, hoodie, other swag. At the beginning, I thought for sure they would have a ton of empty seats and free equity, but the way they are giving more and more seats away and online qualifiers, it feels like they will have an alternate list to make sure they have the full field of 2000. Im no freeroll leech or new here. Im not a poster because if you werent part of the in group at DD and NWP anything you posted to try and break in was auto spammed by black cock. Thanks to SS for the shot. Maybe can spin it into something nice. Cards in the air at 10am, my wife asked if Ill be home for lunch. Thats the spirit.

Brother thanks so much for posting and best of lucK! Routing for you man. I think you are on to something. You don’t giveaway $5 million worth of seats and not want to get the most people happy & excited about your brand as possible. So while those who have seats may be a little tilted that they are filling the no shows, at the end of the day it’s a freeroll & complaining is a bad look. So not surprising at all they (seemingly) have a mechanism in place to fill these seats.

I won a main event seat in 2005 using my FPP on Party Poker. Was literally a total freeroll. And I had things going on in my life and didn’t enjoy it. Played like shit and it’s always been a big regret I let other distractions in my life take away from the great chance I had.

Anyways just remember if you bust it was a freeroll. But at the same time do all you can to play your best. If you don’t you will def regret it. I can attest. Anyways, best of luck and thanks for the info. Crush it! But mainly enjoy the experience. Bad beat…no biggie…it’s a freeroll. Run deep brother!

Bilbo, there is no question that getting all these signups and list together for the online sweepstakes model rollout was by far the number 1 reason for the giveaway. However, a close second is the live tournaments out at the Wynn. Getting people who otherwise wouldn’t go out there to do so. The brain works in mysterious ways and filling up the freeroll will wet the beak of a lot of people who may not have planned to enter other tournaments, but after playing the freeroll they get the bug. Register another tournament or two.

So from a business perspective I think they will want to fill the empty seats best they can. I can’t blame them.

Smotorious, one quick question for your indulgence.

Is there a cut off time to register or your seat is forfeited that you know of?

I’m wondering if they are going to have time to truly know the amount of no shows before the thing starts.
