Conservative influencer Lauren Chen accused of accepting millions to push Russian-preferred narratives

Lauren Chen has been a conservative influencer for awhile. She's a pretty, young, half-Asian woman, who for awhile was measured and reasonable.




Her real name is Lauren Tam. She is married to another conservative named Liam Donovan. They own a company called Tenet Media, which puts out conservative content. In addition to Chen, Tenet has signed influencers Lauren Southern, Tim Pool, Tayler Hansen, Matt Christiansen, Dave Rubin and Benny Johnson.

It is now alleged by the DOJ that Tenet received $8.7 million from Russia, and was asked to push certain preferred narratives.

It is fairly clear that Lauren Chen was very aware of what she was doing. It is not clear at this time if the other influencers associated with Tenet were aware, or if they were just doing what they were told by Chen.

It is notable that Chen seemed to have made an about-face recently regarding supporting Trump. Suddenly she is claiming that Trump isn't conservatrive enough (such as his recent comments on abortion), and she no longer supports him. There is some suspicion that Russia was asking Chen to bash Trump, so as to encourage right wingers to stay home and not vote for him, perhaps swinging the election to Harris.

In recent years, she has drifted away from her former conservative-libertarianism, and seemed to become much more extreme. This is now attributed to the Russian money funneled into Tenet.

It is NOT suspected that Trump or Harris was involved in any of this stuff.

Tim Pool and the others are presently denying knowledge that Russia was involved with Tenet.

The liberal media is rejoicing over this, but it may not be the win they think this is.

They believe they're finally proving that Russia has been manipulating US elections in favor of Trump.

However, given Chen's recent anti-Trump rhetoric (long after Trump was the official nominee), it seems clear to me that Russia does NOT want Trump to win.

My guess is this was a Russian operation to quietly help fracture the Republican base, and quietly deliver a win to Kamala (without her knowledge of the plot).

There currently is a coordinated movement to turn the far right against Trump. It started at the same time as the "Trump is not pro-life enough" narrative on social media. Russia has different objectives and narratives. And they paid Chen to help push them via her network of content creators, as well as her own content. But that still doesn't answer why they had Chen start bashing Trump.

Clearly if they wanted Trump to win, they would have had her speak positively of him, not negatively. And since it's basically a binary choice in US Presidential elections, that means we can conclude which candidate they want to see emerge victorious.

It's actually smart to bribe right wing influencers to try to turn the base against Trump, rather than pay lefties to bash him, or to run ads against him. Most pro-Trump right wingers can't be swayed... unless another right winger they respect is speaking out against him.
