I just disagree about focusing on 5% or whatever the latest number is of undecideds. Everyone has made up their mind by now. Policy is irrelevant. It's not like some tax policy or how many illegals coming over the border is 10% higher or lower than it was in March. It's a cliche' but true, it really is what side gets their base out. And my opinion is the random black guy does not give a shit about a mixed race woman whose father was born in Jamaica and where she is married to a white Jewish lawyer.

I don't agree with curtailing voting rights based on race, sex or creed. But there needs to be a universal IQ test to absolutely prohibit some of the dumbest muther fuckers from registering to vote. We should definitely care for them and do what we can for them but they need to be excluded from any decision making process.

Smart people like myself and yourself need to be granted more voting responsibility, given our greater ability.

two further points warrant discussion:


1. as tgull alludes, we now allow any fool to vote which is preposterous. you should be a tax payer and/or meet some other tbd requirements to be able to decide our fate. the idea that these baby mamas can make gaggles of voters to eviscerate any effect mine may have is asinine, and yep, as we look around we can see the end result. cause=effect. the founders were right, or close to it.

2. had the conservative dolts on the supreme court had any sense they would have not taken the abortion case they knew would get an polarized result right before the last election. the republicans would have won both houses, easily otherwise. now, they are still facing the ramifications. they could have just waited till the next session as there will be another. but nope, they pretend to be above it, but they aren't. the consequences of that decision - which were in reality far less drastic than the left will ever acknowledge, were tremendous. played just like republicans handle everything else - ineptly.

But this one I have to disagree.

It's true that Trump definitely has the white trailer trash dumbass demo locked down.

However, Trump also made huge inroads with minority voters, especially men, like no Republican candidate has in our lifetime.

He's about splitting the overall Hispanic vote (and easily winning with Hispanic men), and while getting crushed with the black demographic, is doing far better with black people than any GOP candidate in modern history, including his own two campaigns in 2016 and 2020.

Unfortunately Trump is getting absolutely crushed with the moderate white suburban women demographic. Far worse than any GOP candidate in modern history. And it's only gotten worse since he picked Vance. The problem is that Trump's personality is like kryptonite to those women -- he's the arrogant, self-congratulatory jerk they've been avoiding all their lives. Vance doesn't have the same abrasive personality, but they all see him as an old fashioned misogynist who wants to put them back in the kitchen. So this whole ticket has zero appeal to these women, who otherwise might vote for a DeSantis type GOP candidate. And that's going to hurt.

The real battle is for the people who hate both sides. Before Trump was easily winning that, as people decided another Trump term was preferable to giving a clearly senile Biden another 4 years to get even more senile.

Now a lot of these voters are thinking, "Phew... no more Biden. Okay, Kamala isn't a good candidate, but she's not Trump and she's not senile, so.... I'll just go with her."


Trump's task is going to be proving to the American public that:

1) If they're unhappy now, voting for Kamala means more of the same, because she's the sitting VP

2) Kamala was one of the most liberal US Senators, and has a radical agenda which most people will hate

3) She's incompetent and can't even explain her own policy when not on a teleprompter


If Trump reasonably proves the above, he wins. And while they shouldn't obsess too much over Tim Walz, they do need to keep hammering him for his many lies. The guy really does seem to be a pathological liar, even oddly lying about whether or not his wife had IVF (first he said she did, now he says she didn't).

I listened to Trump on the radio driving at a NC rally. He clearly laid out the fact that the world was generally a safe place when he was in office, now you have literally millions dead in Ukraine and Middle East under Harris/Biden. He also clearly pointed out inflation was absolutely something nobody talked about under his term. Wages were ahead of inflation under his term, unlike now. I also forgot until he reminded the crowd that Obama said Isis would take years to eradicate, yeah they were all dead in Trump's first year. Of course the border, been a train wreck under the border Czar Harris. If Trump stays on message this will be a easy victory.

Maybe I didn’t express myself well, but I don’t think we are in that much disagreement. I meant the people with a few $ that are traditionally Republican, but hate Trump. That’s who I see in play. But I also see suburban Dems in play with a few $. Like you see me and a sheetsworld who hate Trump, but also don’t want any part of that economic plan as it’s essentially just giveaways that won’t even help. Just create more inflation.

As far as the minority vote. If we are talking Hispanic, certainly. But that was true last time also. It’s also where the abortion issue helps, doesn’t hurt. I think he was positioned for a historic black male vote for a Republican, but I’m going to have to see him exceed last election after the black parade we saw last night. I think that went out the window. He’ll do well for GOP, but talk of 20% is crazy talk now.

I actually predicted Trump would kill it with black voters before 2016. They are all about ostentatious displays of wealth and bling and that’s Trumps whole brand.

I think he is like 65/35 to win right now imo. I’d bet a lot on him if he was on message instead of doing everything wrong. I just look and say, I don’t want her despite hating him. I I feel that way, she’s likely toast.

I don’t see where we are in a huge disagreement. Like I think we have the same basic sides as last time with the exception of Trump growing stale and pissing women off further, but no Covid, less mail in voting, and high inflation which benefit him.

She’s going to need to be +5 in swing states the night before for me to tbh I it’s a coin flip. The only caveat being how much Dems have over performed post Roe ruling. That’s the wild card.
