Since PFA started, there has been a custom feature I wrote which allows you to tweet a hashtag related to your WSOP event, and it will auto-post on the thread for the event on the PFA WSOP forum.
Starting 2024, that is no longer possible.
On July 14, 2023, Twitter changed things to where outside sites can't read tweets for free. In order to do this, I'd have to pay them $100/month (lol). Even worse, it took me a long time to realize this was why it wasn't working. I spent time learning their new API (interface) so I could write a new routine to do this with their present system, only to find out the bad news about 2 hours in.
I didn't run into this last WSOP because my last event (the Main) ended just days before July 14, 2023.
I discovered the bad news yesterday as I tried to update my O8 event progress.
