You do realize the Mississippi River runs through a ton of states, right? And also, pretty sure it had zero to do with politics on how a river was named. Most of them were names taken from what the Natives called them or similar long before the country existed let along expanded. Can't wait for your take on the Louisiana purchase involving more than just Louisiana itself.
I know you're trolling, but on a side note, Kansans are so petty they pronounce the name as "Ar - Kansas River". This is to the point that they genuinely consider that to be the name. The river flows from Colorado across nearly the entire state passing through the largest city, Wichita.

There are a large number of ships that pass from the Wichita area and down through the Tulsa area. It's not super uncommon to see ones with damage.
I white water rafted the Royal Gorge on the Arkansas River in Colorado. It was a blast. Beautiful too.
arkansas has some of the best brown trout fishing in america.
