I don't feel like reading the whole DJChaps story over there.

But can someone tell me where the money is coming from, which is owed to Chaps?

Was it Mission's own money that he was giving away?

Or was it someone else's money that Mission was holding?

If it's the former, I can't see how it's fair to suspend Mission, as he's running a free contest with his own money. I feel he should only be suspended if he takes a super-excessive amount of time to pay, to where it's clear he's never going to. By these standards, I should be suspended from PFA for slow paying PFA freeroll $!

If it's the latter, I can understand the suspension.

My understanding is that it was Mission's own money. He has run this contest for years and this is not the first time that payment has not been made promptly...

That said, he does always pay eventually.

Shack does that forum a major disservice with the heavy-handed moderation IMO. Seems like just a big power trip for him...

If it's Mission's money, and if he's run it for years without issue, this whole thing should be pretty simple.

Get off his back, give him a little time, and be done with it.

Maybe the guy is struggling financially, or just had a big/unexpected expense. Maybe he has other shit going on.

Chaps should definitely be paid, and I agree Mission should be banned if he simply runs off and doesn't pay. However, if he's just taking longer than he should, everyone should be patient. I understand Chaps is also struggling, but this was a contest, and you should never expect freeroll contest funds to pay your day-to-day bills.

I don't see Mission fucking Chaps here. He's been a reliable member of these forums for a long time, and he's not going to throw that away for a small amount of money.

The issue was solved a couple days ago. The Administrator paid Chaps, he got another freebie from another site, on to the next forum under the guise he is trying to find work:

"I have sent DJChaps $400 USD through Paypal. We simply had a worse case scenario here where our big winner has a personal situation and would genuinely benefit from promptly receiving cash. The payment that was due to DJChaps is now owed to me. I expect that DJChaps will make a post to confirm this."

And for those not familiar with Wizard of Vegas, here is type nonsense that goes on over there. Druff has explained it a few times but it’s a place where members cry when they feel slighted and want others suspended. The creepy Wizard and a couple mods, one of which talks about his dream of fucking a paraplegic woman, actually do it all the time. And keep a list of the suspended members going back 14 years for public viewing. Definitely strange shit, like shitting on the floor of a chicken restaurant.

Can you imagine if we were this thinned skin here? Would be a full time job for Druff.

Yes Mission will pay and always has in the past. It’s just this year the “winner” was a broke loser who sniffed out a free roll and joined just for it. As you can see he contributed nothing to the forum other than his desperate attempt to do anything for money, except obviously get clean and a job. Only this year when someone down to begging won did the slow pay become an issue.

Suspending Mission was a slap by the Wizard toward someone who did a lot of work for free for him over the years. But Mission isn’t the first to call him out for exploiting others for nothing over the years. In some creepy way, the perverted Wizard seems to enjoy being able to do this.

Meanwhile Chaps blew through the $400 quickly is on to the next grifting attempt.

The Wizard payed Chaps and suspended Mission until he pays up. It looks to me that Mission is pissed at Wizard and won't pay up. He's been suspended since March 12. That's a month and a half so far. It looks to me that Mission is saying "FUCK YOU" to the Wiz.

Mission performed years of unpayed labor as a moderator. Just before Mission's last suspension he was suspended by Wiz for what most say was not an insult. And it was at the time when Wiz talked Mission into doing the gargantuan task of going thru several years of MDAWG's posts and counting up the amount ofmoney MDAWG claimed to have won in his baccarat sessions.

Can anyone explain the benefit to Mission for running this contest and apparently using his own money? I guess good will/good exposure….but beyond that I just don’t get it. Looks like he did a solid for some PFA posters and Chaps winning was the worst scenario. Whatever Mission’s issue was….pretty much anyone else would have showed a lot more patience than Chaps. A guy who is just looking for every angle to get in these freerolls, is the major problem with freerolls in the first place.

I don’t think it always has to be a poster that has made significant contributions. But it does suck when it’s someone that could give a shit about the site or the person putting up the prize. That being said, Chaps was the first entry (Big Surprise) listed for the contest and did win. Of course he should be paid but it’s unfortunate it had to go down this way.

But on another note I’m happy just being on this forum. I wouldn’t put up with this Shackleford guy. He can take his suspension list and shove it up his ass.

I can't see Druff ever following another site’s suspension Country. Maybe if it was a guy who had a horrible rep and was banned all over the place. Even still, Druff would probably give them a chance here. Hate speculating ….but I think this was just a matter of bad timing and the wrong guy winning.

Things happen in life and sometimes people just need time to meet an obligation. But with Chaps riding his ass, it became a shit show. Probably didn’t help that Chaps stiffed Bubbles and came off pretty bad on here. Whatever Mission was dealing with, the fact that it was Chaps probably just made it worse for Mission.
