The world used to be a much simpler place.
Save a Cow - Eat a Vegetarian, they're grass-fed.
The float in the OP looks good.
I also enjoy a Cherry Coke once in awhile.
Not quite the AV Club. It was even nerdier -- the "International Board Games Club"!
Why did I join such a club? Did I really play Asian board games with all the Asian kids in school?
No. I was doing a prank that year, appearing in as many yearbook club pictures as possible, whether or not I belonged. They started getting wise to this and demanding proof I was really in the club before allowing me in the picture. I was semi-friendly with the president of this particular club, so I asked if he could vouch for me being a "member", and he did so.
I appeared in 16 club pictures that year, setting a school record.
I was on the way to breaking it the following year -- appearing in 15, with another full picture day to go -- when I was told by the yearbook adviser (the photo/AV teacher) that she would give me detention if she saw me back there again. Sad!
Here is a weird picture from the same day -- the Conservative Thought Club.
Despite being a conservative, I wasn't all that political in 1988, and I really didn't have an interest in that club. However, they were hard up for members to appear in the picture, since the club was essentially a group of Christian friends at the school, and they wanted to make it look as big as possible. So they were thrilled to have me.
What's weird about this pic? Notice how much taller I am than everyone else. You might say, "Well, Druff, you're 6'2, so I guess there weren't any other tall people in that club."
But I wasn't 6'2". In that picture, I was only 5'11", with 3 inches left to grow in the next 2 years of my life.
So I was 5'11" and looked like a giant. Apparently all of the conservatives at the school were short.
