It's based on a number of different things actually. It's just measured in RPM. If your average view time is very high your RPM might very well be more than $8.

So in the poker space on Youtube the RPM ($s per 1000 views) for long form videos is about $8.



So when that monetization turns on you will be getting about $16 for the first month.

Actually the views I posted for CLP are skewed. We have been doing a ton of shorts videos which artificially inflate my channel's view count. Shorts only get like 18 cents per 1000 views vs $8-$10 per 1000 for long form. CLP YT gets maybe 600-800K long form per month so I usually bring in $5500-7000 a month from YT. It's a nice little bit of extra money for something that we would be doing for free for promotion anyways. But if you take a look at the big vlogger channel's like Brad Owen and Rampage that do all long form videos they are making $20-$25K a month just from Google Adsense revenue.

Yeah we're getting very close. Perhaps we will be monetized by next episode.

I'm still not sure if Bart is correct about the low $$ I'll make from the channel. This is because, compared to other monetized channels, PFA has very low views (about 400 per video on average), but the listening time is long (due to the long videos).

This means I'll get a lot of hours watched, but not that many raw views. It will be interesting to see what $$ it generates. Not expecting big money, but hopefully not something laughably small.

Aside from her take on Tyde - 70’s SoCal from someone on the scene would be a fun listen. As awful as SoCal is now it truly was paradise once upon a time in America. I have an intuition she might be very candid about the last 50 years.
