    Sad News Bruce Willis

is 67 and apparently has dementia. My mom and dad both had it very tough to deal with. I pray I don't get it.

Wellll, Bruce is an oldddd story so kinda worried about you now.

Best advice load up on life insurance and decide how you want it to go when it happens.

We are all gonna get something, knowing what will happen to you is both a blessing and a curse.

Yeah unfortunately most things you've got a high chance of getting something if both parents had it.

With that said, since dementia is a syndrome (collection of symptoms) rather than a specific disease, there's a lot of causes for it, and it's very possible you will dodge it, Frank.

For example, my grandmother got dementia, but we knew the cause. She had a circulatory issue which began in her leg, and eventually caused disruption of blood flow to the brain. Once this got going, she went from fully sharp to basically not lucid within about 10 months. Was sad to see. Had she acted on it sooner, she might have been able to stop it.

Anyway this does not increase my chance of getting dementia, as hers was from a very specific cause, and one that isn't known to be hereditary (though in my opinion, everything is at least a little hereditary). I thikn there is a high chance my body will go first before my mind. My parents are both still very sharp.
