Since this isn't Casino or Gambling related, I figured I'll post it here. It's a story worthy of Druffy Time theatre IMO.

Without going into a long, ranting post(sort of) about this company, I'll just flat out say Geologie is a Scam and I Beat them at their Own Game!

Geologie is one of these Trial offer companies that you pay a small start up fee around $20-$30 for hair and skin care products that normally cost 4 times as much retail. This is nothing new and it's the latest iteration of the $1 CD of the Month Club(remember those?), where you pay $1 for a dozen CDs and then after the initial month ends, they jack up the price to $15-$30 and you get ONE new CD a MONTH.

Well, Geologie is a bit more shady than that. They intentionally use deceptive wording and provide notification AFTER they charge your card for something you didn't authorize! I caught them red-handed and luckily my bank has alerts to unauthorized charges, which is how I got them to fess up and refund my money.

How much the charge you ask... $159!!! Yep, I paid under $30 for about 5 tiny bottles of hair and skin care products and they tried to withdraw over 5 times that! How did I get them to admit they were at fault you ask?

Their "customer service rep" with some long, difficult to pronounce, Eastern European name told me that I signed up for a 28 day Trial. Now I thought to myself.. "No way would I have agreed to this intentionally or unintentionally!" So I found my original receipt of payment for the small order of $30 and saw Nothing where I agreed to that. I read their Terms of Service up and down on the site and could not find this supposed 28 day trial period either.

When I asked for PROOF of this supposed agreement I made, they couldn't provide it other than the original email with my $30 order number and a "1 MONTH TRIAL AGREEMENT". It also said "30D TRIAL" on the confirmation email I got months earlier.

BOOM! Found the way out and immediately took a screen grab showing both and sent it to their "customer service"... No response for 2 days!

So I decided to report them to the Better Business Bureau with all the Screen Shots of Evidence to prove they Violated their Own Terms and Used deceptive wording to Charge an Unauthorized Amount of OVER $150 for something I didn't order!

Sure enough, within hours of that report being filed with BBB, I get a response from their "Customer Care Manager" saying "Sorry for the confusion... We reviewed the order and we will refund your money because you Cancelled before the package was shipped... normally we would not do this, but to provide the best customer service... blah, blah blah." He also went on to say "A month isn't necessarily 30 days as some times months consist of 31 days and 28 days hurr hurr!" I mean seriously, THAT's your comeback to getting completely owned and your Customer service rep from Bumfuck Eastern Europe admitting they tried to used deceptive wording to keep my money??

But that's not the end of it. A follow up email was sent a day later "Dear Sir, We hope you will consider us in the future and are satisfied with our response, will you kindly mark your BBB complaint as RESOLVED???"

Hahahaha, unbelievable that they got off their ass once the BBB got involved! I wrote back "As you know, many Scammers and Fraudulent companies utilize Advance Fee Fraud Schemes to extort money from innocent victims, therefore if it's all the same, I will wait until this refund clears Pending status and is fully in my account, shall we say a MONTH before I know it's cleared? And that would be a Month here on Planet Earth that Normally consists of 30-31 days!

They have not since responded... LoL!!
