Hard to tell. He did look improved last time. My exact thought. Hard to predict this game.
Here in legalized America we were offered UP 2 Early on DraftKings. I have $25 limit. As sad as that is it is more than most. Methinks the top of the order matches up well against Canning’s pitch mix. Hopefully your boys jump on Angels in the first.

    Tally ho good chap

    Blimey

    After 1 inning
    Dodgers 0
    Angels 5

This contrarian business is a rough trade.

What’s crazy is prior to this outburst Schwarber had just gone thru the longest homerless streak in his entire career. Baseball is weird.

Also Acuña had 107 RBI batting leadoff last year which is also insane.

Last years Braves were a juggernaut.

I literally went through the futures last night and couldn’t pick a winner, or a few teams I think could win. One week I’m leaning towards the Yankees because Soto and Judge are so good, and then they give up 10+ runs multiple games in last week and you can pitch around those guys. Then I love the Padres and DBacks, but the Dbacks give up a million runs and the Padres and post season just aren’t a thing.

    I don’t trust Baltimore’s pitchers.

There really isn’t a great team. Your Braves should make it, and honestly, it feels like they have as good a shot as anyone.

The things you look for in a post season team, like I don’t see it on any team.

Gun to head, I’m taking Phillies or Yankees, but I’m not comfortable with it even if I had both. Why not the Brewers? I can make an argument for anyone. I’m going to need San to parse the playoff teams and lend insight.

I feel like it’s going to be a playoffs where I ride a lot of plus money dogs every night. Nothing will be a big upset.

Definitely agree that it’s a toss up this year. If the Braves got both Albies and Riley back I’d agree with you as they certainly seem to have the pitching this year finally.

But I’m not optimistic both of those guys will be back in time and as presently constructed their lineup has way too many holes. Plus those pesky damn Mets won’t lose. But after dominating the regular season the last couple of years only to get bounced by the Phillies I’m totally fine with sneaking in as a wild card even if it’s 3rd wildcard. Just have to find a way to make it though.

Was there a bigger fleecing in the offseason than the Braves getting Chris Sale plus $17 million from Red Sox for a guy they had no where to play? I know the injury history and frustration in Boston meant it was time for the Sox to move on from him but the Braves got the likely CY winner gifted to them for peanuts.

    Worlds collide starting tomorrow

    CLE @ LAD

Diving in now but my finely tuned instincts tell me to take CLE +130 right the f*ck now before i lose the value. Keep it close and let the CLE bullpen do its thing late.

LAD is never too swell vs lefties traditionally.

Its 53° here as I type this. just looked at ballparkpal and first pitch is projected to be 100° in the City of the Homeless. Bombs away?

Went in the lab and cooked up this.
    CLE +130
    CLE/LAD BTTS 2 & Mets ML parlay -101
    CLE/LAD BTTS 2 & PHI RL parlay +128

The total in the CLE game is now 9. I’d bet over 8.5 +100 but we can’t always get what we want. I do respect the Guardians bullpen so both teams to score 2 is a decent juice reducer

Despite my bets earlier today i am resolving to only play teams in contention - i.e. teams that give a f#ck. Mets are an example

Has a closer ever had a much better regular season than Clase?

You jinxed your team Jay. I saw that. Add one more to that L column.

After 3 or 4 years of the Dodgers suffering the greatest number of pitching issues in the MLB Friedman decides to target youth baseball as the cause

Andrew Friedman addresses Dodger pitching issues: A lot of this starts at the youth level.

    Say what?

Not the way the Dodger organization brings up young pitchers or anything else Dodger specific.

Friedman does say he might take a look internally in the off season. You think?

Dodgers are stuck with Friedman for a generation but for him to run his mouth about Little League instead of the pitch clock, using baseball “sticky” tack, the stitches on the Rawlings ball or any number of other common MLB issues shows how clueless and stressed he is.

    Pray for Ohtani.

I’ve heard Jason Heyward who landed with the Astros took a shot at the Dodgers when he said he now plays for a championship winning organization. I can’t find the quote online. Liberal MSM coverup.

Dodgers are just so much damn fun

I removed it because the game had already started. Still hard to beat the Dodgers at home though.

This kid from the Tribe is not ready for the majors. The Sox pitcher is a train wreck. I wish there was an o9 side parlay to be had, but we have actually struggled more with white Sox than anyone else has. Might have to be a straight over. If their pitcher wasn’t so bad I’d take the +1.5 +115 on Sox and parlay it with like 7.

Also Robert is only +310. Was hoping he was undervalued as he seems to use us as batting practice when healthy.

I’m legit hovering over Sox +1.5 and o7.5 for +250. I just can’t force myself to bet on the Sox.

Do we have a lean in the Yomiuri Dodgers Hanshin Cubs matchup other than a significant loss of productivity in Japan? Shota has been hot again versus long layoff.

    I caught +140 last night

Yammy was removed as a listed pitcher this morning but is back. He would have a short leash if I were the pitching coach but it’s Mark Prior. Rotator cuff is some tricky stuff. Dodgers have a decent pen but lordy do they get the heavy work every day.

Cubs are 7-0 on the road.

    Just a bet.

But to a more important game….
SGP CLE ML & under 10 (alt) for +100

Bet this. Beware, after heater I’m cold again. I have Braves RL and they just pulled Lopez out after 1 for some type of injury.

What a terrific piece. The title and the opening paragraph especially.

Couple Dodger related ideas for those with dark hearts.

    CHC/LAD F5 BTTS 2+ +140
    Parlay BAL/BOS F5 BTTS 1+ & CHC/LAD F5 BTTS 1+ for +104
    CHC TT o3 1/2 -125
