It depends on how moderate he wants to be have to appeal to the independent voter

Heard that could be his end game with No labels party. Honestly I gotta say it..
Yall think Trump stirred the pot as POTUS Cuban would be that much worse. Trump was and is used to dealing with foreign leaders especially when he was building his companies. Cubans actual experience beyond his own company business is nowhere near the same. Trump at least had a modicum of political awareness I dont think Cuban has any and his give a damn is even less then Trumps which is saying something. Not to mention Cubans own woke bullshit agenda at times is a non starter.

He's a piece of shit, a Cuban admin would be a disaster. If he runs he'll find out he's not so beloved outside of his NBA cult.
However unlikely.
Fuck Mark Cuban. The guy got lucky by selling broadcast.com during the dot-com boom, as Yahoo was just beginning their streak of a lot of stupid decisions. Yahoo bought it for $5.7 billion in 1999, foolishly believing internet radio to be the next big thing. "Silicon Valley" was a flawed show (especially in the later seasons), but they did a great job parodying Cuban with their arrogant, somewhat clueless "Russ Hanneman" character, who kept bragging, "I put radio on the internet".
Cuban is Mason Malmuth on a much greater scale. He owes much of his success by already having the right product/service at the right place at the right time. I can only imagine how he felt when Yahoo was willing to pay $5.7b for internet fucking radio.
To show you how absurd this broadcast.com deal was, note that Google bought an already-established YouTube in late 2006, for less than 30% of what Yahoo paid for broadcast.com just 7 years earlier. Imagine how much YouTube is worth today.
Cuban is a close friend of Hillary Clinton. That by itself should be a huge red flag.
He was the most obnoxious NBA owner, choosing to repeatedly create disruptions because he felt he was rich and could get away with it. How many other NBA owners behaved like him?
He also openly bragged about how the Mavericks were going to tank the season in 2018.
Cuban is basically a guy who became a lucky billionaire, and then used his money for the past two-plus decades to keep himself in the spotlight, and to posture as a brilliant businessman. He's not too far removed from what Trump is, except on the other political side.
F him.
For you non-nerds wondering why Yahoo buying broadcast.com for $5.7b was so stupid, you just need to consider the fact that the technology was not particularly complex nor difficult to duplicate. It was also unlikely that one site like broadcast.com was going to dominate the industry of broadcasting audio online.
Am I saying this in hindsight, benefiting from 24 years passing since that failpurchase?
No. Even in 1999, broadcasting audio on the internet was not considered difficult. In fact, a piece of freeware called Oddcast was released just a year later, in 2000, which allowed anyone to broadcast internet radio shows from their own home computers.
Yahoo's assumption in 1999 was that terrestrial radio (then still a big deal) would want to simulcast from a site like broadcast.com, which had a lot of bandwidth to do so, and that broadcast.com would also attract lots of individual users wanting to create their own shows. They pictured it as a one-stop shop for people who wanted audio content online.
They were fooled by the company's IPO in 1998, which valued the company at $1 billion, and they figured it was rapidly on its way up. It amazes me that they didn't see that this company lacked any kind of real future, as broadcasting audio online is simple enough to where it would never end up centralized.
Yahoo shut down broadcast.com just 3 years later in 2002, and it's considered one of the worst internet company purchases of all time.
TODD, WHY DID YOU SKIM PAST THE PART WHERE MARK THE GOD CUBAN HEDGED HIS YAHOO SHARES AND WOULD HAVE GONE NEAR BROKE IF HE DIDNT? THAT AMAZING LUCK WOULD HAVE GONE POOF, IF HE WEREN'T SMART.

Chaps' 2017-18 NFL $$ Thread
Cuban says he would prefer to be a Republican over being a Democrat. He likes smaller government spending, but he is more progressive regarding social issues.
I don't trust anyone who loves the Clintons.
Also, "progressive on social issues" is terrible in the 2020s. In the '80s and '90s, that meant something different, as usually that just meant the person was pro-choice and pro civil liberties. Now it means being onboard with the modern woke bullshit, pro-censorship, and all the terrible criminal justice reforms.
That's why you're seeing lifelong liberals like Bill Maher actually agreeing more with Republicans on social issues nowadays than they ever did before, and becoming frustrated with their own party.
We don't know Cuban's actual policies yet.
You're a wantrapaneur so for that reason im out
