Nice, can I borrow $60,000?
Excited for the next 64 $1000 freerolls. LFG!
Did you tip on the payout , if so how much? Listening on radio liked the segment about the old guy you where advising on slots. Would be funny if you got banned for that.
Which casino? I'm sure it was a CZR property.
Did you have a multiplier?
Was it 9/6/5 or 10/6/4? I doubt you would go for 9/6/4.

Congratulations on the jackpot, Todd.
The strip, except for a few exceptions over the years has always been bad. The locals joints are much better.
Druff was playing Double Bonus. There are not that many UX payscales at DB. 9/6/5 is a 99.04% game, 10/6/4 is a 98.6% game, 9/6/4 is 97.5 and 9/5/4 is 96%.
I suppose it's possible it was a 9/7/5 that does exist at the single line level but multi-line 9/7/5 is not on IGT's list of UX games. Multi-line is higher payback than single line. A 9/7/5 multi-line would be above 100% compared to single line 99.3.
So the big question is....which payscale was Druff playing?

I know there's a lot of questions about this. I can only answer a few of them.
Did I tip? Yes. I'll admit this was a source of stress for me, despite being very excited about this huge hit. I am not a believer in tipping for handpays, as it's something involuntary, and it's stupid. The slot employees are basically processing paperwork, and not giving you a "service". The concept of throwing them a $20 for a $2000 handpay isn't a big deal to me, but I hate hate hate the expectation that you need to hand over big money when you hit a big jackpot.
With that said, I also don't want to violate societal norms with this stuff, and be hated by the staff.
Worst yet, I don't want to leave a big tip and be resented for it. Let's say I hit the maximum possible jackpot on this game ($480k -- a dealt Royal with 12x multipliers on all hands), and I left a $2,000 tip. I've heard of slot runners resenting this and scoffing behind the customer's back after such a tip. That's despite receiving $2k to process paperwork for a few minutes! So I'd rather leave a zero tip than one which would be resented.
I needed to find the sweet spot between "not ridiculously high" and "not causing resentment".
So what did I leave? I'll reveal that on radio, which is probably tonight.
Another question was, "Did you hit this using freeplay?"
I did not. It was my own dime.
Was I winning a lot, and thus willing to take a chance on $100/hand video poker? No, in fact I was down $8300 just 10 minutes earlier.
Did I go to this $100/hand game because I was losing and tilted? No, I started at this game.
Have I ever taken a massive loss playing video poker before? Not massive, but I did lose $17k in Lake Tahoe in 2017.
Did this hit put me ahead lifetime in video poker? Yes.
Have I been lucky with Royals before? Only once. On a trip to Harrah's Rincon in 2015, I had 6 royals on a 5-play machine. Other than that 2015 trip, I've had exactly ZERO royals in my lifetime! This is NOT counting wild royals on Deuces Wild, which are fairly common, and also not counting royals on 50-100 play machines where it's almost assured you'll get one if you play awhile. But on machines with fewer than 30 hands going, I've never had a Royal except this one and the six I got on the 2015 trip. Up until this, I've run extremely bad with Royals.
That's all I can say for now.
