Help me get Google to prevent this site from running at a loss

As some of you know, I have been posting PFA Radio to YouTube as a new way to listen. This was due to both years of requests, as well as the desire to get monetized.

Things are going decently so far. PFA gets a lot of "watch hours" because it's a long show. One person who watches/listens to a 5-hour PFA show all the way through is like 100 viewers on a channel with 3.5 minute videos. This is a plus for monetization.

However, I am currently getting ZERO POINT ZERO dollars from YouTube, as I have not reached the threshold for monetization. I am about 35% of the way there with watch hours, and about 70% of the way there on subscribers. I just started doing this in early September, though the channel was already halfway there subscriber-wise (but had very few watch hours).

The watch hours should get there by January, in my estimation. The subscribers... well, that's harder to predict. Once I'm there, Google will start paying me for each show, going forward. I don't expect to make big money, but hopefully enough to cover the server expenses, and maybe a bit more for all the time I put into this site.

Just trying to figure how Micon was able to scratch out a living on NWP, and Mason was able to print money on 2+2 and yet you always seem to lose money here. You are either awful at making money on internet websites, or really just making bank and concealing it from the members. I've always thought the latter.

To answer bottomset, Micon was never able to monetize any of the forums he ran, except for pennies. This was during the poker boom, when it was much easier than today! That's why he sold to Pokernews in 2007, and got low 6 figures for his part.

I could make money here if I ran obnoxious affiliate ads or took banners from shady online casinos, but I refuse to do that. And I don't want to run banners for more legit poker sites like Bovada, ACR, etc because then I won't be able to criticize them when necessary.

The Google thing is perfect because, while not making huge money, it will generate at least something, while I do the exact same thing I'm doing now. Might as well get paid if I can.

My understanding is that neverwinpoker made good money through affiliates? I know this isn;t an option for poker anymore but possibly some other avenues like sportsbetting?
