    Looking to spend a few days down in SoCal with the girlfriend... Need suggestions...

    I was thinking of renting a house on the beach for a few days, figured some of you guys could offer up some suggestions on where to stay and what to do. Looking for more of a relaxing few days rather than hiking it up with a bunch of site seeing type of stuff. More of a chill by the beach/eat at awesome restaurants style vacation.

    Help a brotha out yo.

    Come down to San Diego and stay in PB or Coronado with plenty of good restaurants near both. World Famous in PB is the nuts and the brunch at Candelas in Coronado is even better. I can get you some bomb fire if you fly in but you're prolly driving. PJ is the namme btw. I've been mostly a lurker on NW, DD, PFA the last 5 years. padre19 at DD

    Huntington Beach is an awesome place to spend a day and you can spend a quality evening in Newport Beach. You can PM me for more ideas as I am a local.

    If you want to relaxy, enjoy the ocean,eat good and avoid all the traffic and commotion of LA....avood Santa Monica,HuntingonBeach and the other suggestions......Drive up the coast a bit....spend a day in the central coast wine tasting at the hundreds of wineries if you like then head on up to Cambria. It is a romantic little beach town with the forest as a backdrop. There are some great restaurants there and the town is a nice place to walkaround. We go once a year and usually stay at the Cambria Pines Lodge...it's in the woods rather then on beach but features gorgeous rooms (request new rooms not old cabins), on site massage, yoga, etc.... There are some really nice places on the beach also. You are driving distance to Monterrey, Carmel, Hearst Castle ,Big Sur, etc..

    Another nice alternative for a relaxing trip is to stay in Santa Barbara.

    Hey if you like museums the Gettys are pretty nice there is one right off teh beach Getty Villa remodeled for 10 years re-opened like 3-4 ago I think. Then the OG Getty near the 405 freeway has spectacular views of the city and nice art all around. U get to ride a mini tram up and down the mountain on the way from parking lot to museum. lolz

    Disneyland? Sea world? Universal? etc etc? lolz

    What u guyz like to do?

    What if I needed a toe w/ nail polish? During these "money hand offs" can we change out the $$$ with our dirty undies?

    Also If my friend Marty Ackerman needs me to babysit his pomeranian can I pawn it off on you? You can take him bowling, he won't drink your beer or take your turn.

    let me know asap, kthxbai

    Man this has been a pain in the ass. I just couldn't find anything I was all that enthused about. I searched all over SoCal and settled on a place in Laguna Beach. I was really looking for something modern with a great view of the ocean. The main problem was I would find a location I liked but just couldn't find anything with 1 bedroom and a king size bed with a view. Everything was always back in town, with maybe a sneak peak, or a bay view, just not what I was looking for. The places on the beach were either too small, or just not modern at all. Mostly "quaint" little cottages or upper floor condos that were so/so and IMO not worth the price. After searching ever since I made this thread and making call after call I luckboxed into a pimp three bedroom house overlooking the ocean. The place goes for $17,500 a month in the summer... I got it for $1400 for 3 nights, everything included (tax, cleaning, etc...).

    Look into Crystal Casino in Compton.

    The rooms are quite nice and rather cheap with a players card and a couple hours of play.
