Attempted Robbery and shootout at Texas Poker Club

Incident happened around 6am Thursday morning. Several armed individuals attempted to Rob Texas Card House near Houston details are still sketchy at this time other than the security guard disarmed one of the robbers and then they opened fire on him. No reports of anybody actually shooting somebody (sounds like the guard needs range time definitely).

TCH says they believe it maybe the same bunch of robbers who’ve tried to hit other poker card rooms and Harris county Sheriffs office is still investigating the incident.

I was at a Houston cardroom in January, 2022, on a Sunday night. Left about 9 and someone shot up the place a few hours later.

Criticism of Texas card room structure number 3,008: They're usually in sketch as hell strip malls where someone can get in just by opening a door (maybe going through a metal detector, mmmk?) Not more than 5 meters between their car and the cage.

Different than a casino with a parking structure, entry way etc. Lot harder to get in and get out fast, though the Aria bandit did it.

I was beyond stunned, knowing I was almost the one who ended up shot had I not gotten the sudden and deep urge to cash out and leave! O.O :O

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I never took a crap on a fast food restaurant's public floor and then keep eating like nothing happened. Someone on social media said they saw someone doing that, and someone randomly "joked," that I was the one who did that, and the joke stuck even though I wasn't the one who did that. It's fucking annoying to be honest how I randomly got chosen to be the butt of a joke and am getting harassed over something I never did!
