I believe this is the last Arby's I visited. Years ago, but still I think it was the last one.

Arby's has had a remarkable turnaround. It was on the financial ropes 10 years ago and eventually got gobbled up by private equity. Now they have had strong revenue growth and growing worldwide. Tough to get information since they are private, but their comp sales are in line with McDonalds, about 5%. I go in occasionally, last time I was there I got a french dip and a diet coke. It was like $9 and it was actually pretty good. What I noticed was how clean it was, there was some guy there constantly wiping down tables and sweeping up curly fries.
The only issue with Arbys, its damn near impossible to eat while driving so you really have to go inside, which is a beat.
They have crinkle fries now, I never liked the curly fries. I actually forgot about Arbys, because of this thread I will likely stop in the next week or so. Horsey sauce really rules.

My first job was McD as well, everything delicious tacos said is true. Hated that job, hated every manager. This was pre microwave though.
Lasted 3 months and then off to college, training videos had two grill members and two assistants who’d put the burgers together….I never saw those other two people. I worked the quarter pounder grill as well and also made the McDLT. Any place with exposed skin was coated in grease and I’d have the same sheen as fresh French fries.
This one guy worked part time and was in the Army, he tried to create a more efficient way to close the store and speed up cleanup…it worked but they told him to fuck off and do everything by the book instead.
The movie The Founder was great though.
