    I bought one of these this weekend

    They are expensive, but at a BBQ contest in June as a spectator, the pellet grilled meat was the best I had and there were over 10 I sampled. I still have my standard grill, but this is looking like a great alternative for a brisket or a porterhouse. Not ready yet for a full fledged pellet smoker, but I might upgrade if I can make this consistently work.

    Guy should be a PFA member imo by the way.

    Well, he showed you how to cook the steak on the pellet smoker. These things with the stand are like $500. I might upgrade next year to a full fledged pellet smoker, but they can run $3000 so want to start more modest.

    This also looks like a winning dish.

    My buddy uses his Traeger all the time. His only complaint is the wood pellets are pricey.

    Research says a 10 pound brisket max, not bad. Smoke that thing for a few hours and finish in the oven, should be legit

    Anyone can cook a steak, easiest thing in the world to not screw up.

    Likely delirium tremens causing these delusions but if real sell it immediately, you cannot afford and those grade B Wal Mart frozen patties do better in the oven.

    No chance you'll be able to avoid downing beers when grilling and red meat is likely to exacerbate your gastritis.

    Agreed, I really got it because I want to get involved with pellet grilling. I am going to pick up a 5 lb brisket next week. I have a generic gas Weber for burgers and chicken. I generally have always cooked my steaks Bobby Flay style, sear in a cast iron and finish in the oven. But we will try the Tomahawks on the Ninja. Also looking forward to trying a pizza as well.

    I use a Weber gas grill as well, stayed at a beach house that only had a charcoal Weber. I had forgotten how good charcoal steaks taste. That ninja looks like a good middle ground. Ship some pics of the brisket when done, wonder how good of a smoke ring you get.

    Yeah, I will take a video next weekend and post it. Never cooked a brisket in my life, never used a pellet grill, will be interesting.
