A lot of the Asian women working in Vegas jerk shops on Spring Mountain are victims of human trafficking.
These women are brought into the country with false promises of "employment", and then forced to do this work in order to "pay off their debt" of being brought to the US. If they refuse, or if they consider going to the police, their families back home are threatened.
People should think twice before patronizing these jerk shops, as often the girl jerking you off isn't there under her own free will.
Conservative religious groups have been supporting this film in full force. They have been encouraging people to buy up blocks of tickets for screenings to give away to the less fortunate (or not) to "pay it forward." Some people on twitter have reported showing up to supposed "sold out" screenings and there were 5 people in the theater.

15m budget and beating Indiana Jones woke bullshit that had a 300m budget. Oh it doesn't get much better than that.
Indy failed not so much because it was woke (it really isn't that woke), but because they tried to direct it to a new female action star while Indy cowered in the corner.
That wasn't likely to sit well with fans, except the relatively small demographic who are excited about it becoming a girl power film.
The gold standard for modern sequels/prequels of old films has been Top Gun Maverick. That film basically did everything right:
- Lack of politicization or pushing of hidden/non-hidden social issues.
- Patriotic, just like the first film was. Fans of the original got what they expected.
- Generally good storyline/character interaction.
- Main character's age advancement acknowledged, but it also didn't make him pathetic.
- Main character paired with age-appropriate mate. Demonstrated that audiences will still like a film where the action hero's romantic partner is in her 50s, rather than a girl young enough to be his daughter.
Great job all around.
I am enjoying the general backlash recently against things which are either woke or trying too hard to "modernize" an old franchise.

My wife spent 4 yrs working as an RN (left earlier this year) in a residential psych facility for kids and teens. The facility had one of the few programs designed to help rehabilitate and treat trafficking victims. It wore on her immensely. Her lowest point she admitted was a young girl around 14 who literally said “I don’t know why you even care about me I’m just a useless whore”. (That girl got out of the facility and went right back to her fucking pimp sadly probably will be lucky if she sees 18 or 21).
These kids are sometimes unrecoverable due to the sheer mental torture and brain washing they undergo and it’s sad and disgusting. One of my friends from HS worked for DHS/HSI he left within the last few yrs he saw similar to what the protagonist saw. It cost him his marriage and almost caused him to lose even visitation with his kids. The dark side of humanity is way darker than anybody knows. I thought it was bad enough with the shit I’d seen out there during my time in fire/ems with DV and yes 9/11 but this shit goes so much deep down the rabbit hole probably straight to hell itself.

Regarding the Indiana Jones movie, the budget was right around $300M. In order for a movie of that scale to make money, you really need a minimum of $750M to get to break even. The movie theater take and marketing/advertising costs are just a huge drain.
Given the take thus far is about $170m worldwide, this one is likely going to sting. Getting to $500M is going to be a longshot at this point.
Obviously Maverick Top Gun was a huge hit, grossing $1.5B. But at the end of the day, given a lousy streaming contract and Tom's take, the studio made just about $400M. These huge movies can make a lot, but it just takes a couple busts to get real, real quick. It's why studios chase movies like Brokeback Mountain with costs of $15M and grossed nearly $200M plus crazy streaming business to this day.
It seems like if you are going to make a big budget film you should skip the BS of catering to a small niche of people and keep it mass market. Do the woke crap with small budgets, make a bunch and at least one might hit.
We had a fairly decent showing in the theater I was at with the wife.. Besides its absurd if the libs are buying up the tickets it literally just gave them massive publicity considering the box office numbers it embarassed Indiana Jones which is saying something as it topped the Holiday box office at NUMBER 1.. That would seem to indicate two things. It backfired if thats what they tried to keep peoplep from seeing it and 2.
