For those wondering, being chipleader in a limit event is nice, but doesn't give you the edge like it does in NL. This is because you can't bully middle sized stacks like you can in NL.
I was the chipleader in the 2015 WSOP $1500 Limit Holdem, with just 42 left. I was dominating the table, feeling good, and had a great read on everyone's playstyles. Then I got moved to a different table (didn't break, they just moved me unfortunately), and I lost every hand. I was out 40th. Chipleader to busto in 2 spots.
And in the event I won in 2005, I was shortstacked when we were approaching the money bubble (though I did come into the final table 2nd in chips).
