Ok as you guys know, I have been busy making a lot of videos, and that means filming lots of clips and storing them in my photos/videos folder on my iPhone
Well I had never touched the TikTok app ever until last week. Partially because I thought it was just a bunch of teenagers creating useless garbage content, but also because I heard the noise from all sides about it being Chinese spyware. I watched the congressional hearings and heard the CEO’s testimony.
I think the word ‘unnerving’ describes how I felt about it, despite knowing full well that it’s insanely popular.
I also considered the view that TikTok is doing the same shit in terms of data harvesting as any other social media platform, and that legislators and the federal government (and U.S. based big tech) has a hard-on for them because they dominate online advertising revenue market share.
I think there is probably some truth in all of the above..
OK so I downloaded the app a few days ago for the first time…

what a fucking nightmare
I must have at least 500 various video clips in my iPhones photo album (I’m talking about files I haven’t even uploaded yet) and all of the sudden a bunch of them were showing a TikTok watermark LOL
Plus the whole app was constantly pounding me with notifications, likes and PMs from bots, and the mute button kept resetting to full volume. Every time I opened it, bam…slammed with some retarded shit with a hip hop background audio track
this is the sound of me snap deleting that garbage app/spyware after less than 12 hours >>
<CLICK>
I just hope that the Chinese didn’t leave behind some backdoor to my camera app, and some random in a cubicle in Beijing isn’t watching me jerk off to midget porn
in closing…
ban TikTok from all U.S. based internet service providers immed
