I actually lived in Vancouver, BC in the 4th grade after my mom got remarried, and our entire family was immediately subjected to blind hatred for the United States when the word got out Americans had moved into the neighborhood

the kids taunted my sister and they threw rocks and eggs at our house all the time starting almost right after we moved in.

I’ve met thousands of people from dozens of countries, and I can honestly say that I’ve never met a Canadian person who wasn’t a complete asshat
