I posted on another poker forum recently. A thread broke out on the guy in florida playing in the women's event. I posted that there may be a problem with men entering the WSOP Women's Event this year. A moderator told me to shut my trap about trans women, that my posts would be removed if I didn't. I was to drop the issue.

Who in the hell wants to participate in a candy ass forum like that?

I was talking about the real possibility that hetero men would temporarily declare themselves female to take advantage of soft action. But over on that site they want to sweep the issue under the rug like it doesn't exist so they can say they are politically correct idiots.

No serious issues ever get discussed without freedom of speech. Free speech is the first thing that got crushed when communism and fascism, two leftist ideologies, took over. I'm saying that I am trying to balance having a non-monetized, free speech site and being a publicly known figure in poker in the Year of Our Lord 2023.

Every year at the WSOP I take shit from people regarding the content here. It's always some form of the same conversation, but each year it becomes a bigger deal, given society's increasing sensitivity.

I will never engage in any form of ideological censorship here, but the offensive stuff just for the sake of being offensive has to be toned down.

If the randoms at the WSOP were just a few isolated nobodies, I wouldn't care.

However, they're just a small percentage of people who think this and either don't see me there or don't want to say anything. This includes many known pros, not just poker fanboys. Remember, most people are there to play events and take a shot at life changing money, and aren't really in the mood to stress themselves out with a confrontation/debate about internet content.

You're the one who actually calls this site "an eighth tier alt-right shithole", so I'm sure you understand.

The bottom line is that almost everyone who posts here is anonymous, while I am not. I'm also the one who runs the site, so the content here reflects upon me, even if I don't post it myself, and even if I openly state I disagree with some of it. The bottom line is that it's my site and I choose what to allow, so the blame falls on my shoulders for shitposts made here, whether fair or not.

I've been aware this was the case way back to the NWP/DD days, and I've taken shit for it for well over a decade, but the "I just run a free speech forum" answer doesn't fly very well in today's society.

The rules here are still far more permissive than any other poker forum out there.
