The flight attendant @united just made my 22 week pregnant wife traveling with a 5 year old and 2 year old get on her hands and knees to pick up the popcorn mess by my youngest daughter. Are you kidding me?!?!

Unless there's more to the story, it is not the passenger's responsibility to pick up food messes on the floor, even if an adult makes the mess! (The only exception would be if the adult intentionally creates the mess.)
It is possible that the flight attendant previously asked the mom to take the popcorn away from the kid after previous messes were made, and the mom didn't listen, thus resulting in an even bigger mess. That would justify it a bit more, but I've never heard of a case where a passenger is forced to clean the floor of an airplane.
Unfortunately, you need to handle things like this after-the-fact, because if you create a huge scene on an airplane, you can be arrested on the ground.

NO way it actually happened like this. Funny he could take a pic of his wife and kid sitting quietly, but no pic of any popcorn or anyone "on her hands and knees." I'm guessing there were some words spoken and this entitled athlete blew it all out of proportion.
