I could have gotten into BIG trouble at a Restaurant! :O

So, I had a $10 gift card for a certain Restaurant. I ordered a happy hour calamari, Coke, happy hour chicken tenders with fries, free water. The bill was about $25. I had about $25 in my Bank Account before I went to the Restaurant. When it was time to pay, I paid with the $10 gift card and when I used my debit card to pay the roughly $15, my debit card was DECLINED! :O

Both me and my Waiter assumed the card hadn't been tapped/swiped the right way, and we tried again, and still DECLINED. :I I called my Bank and lo and behold, I was now NEGATIVE about $75 dollars! :O Turns out, I owed about $120 for a Loan I had taken out. I had called earlier, and I was told I only owed $20. I thought,"That $100 must have been forgiven! I paid the $20 and was told I didn't owe any more money. I withdrew the extra $100 I would have given for the loan and spent it.

Between the time I still had the $25 and the time for meal to be paid, the extra $100 went through and I was now NEGATIVE about $75! I went from having about $25 in the bank to being NEGATIVE about $75! :O I told the Staff I had roughly $25 in my Bank Account before coming to the Restaurant and a Payment unexpectedly went through, leaving me now NEGATIVE. I asked if I could leave some kind of collateral like an ID and pay for it in a couple of more days when I would have more money. They were extremely kind, lenient, and forgiving. They comped the roughly $15 for me. That could have been REALLY bad, not being able to pay my roughly $15 balance! :O

The Boz: Why the fuck would the loan company forgive the $100? Seriously how fucking stupid are you? You are setting black progress back decades with your life choices. And the poor waiter didn’t get a tip. Did you shit at the table again?

Definitely stressful situation. I always make sure I’ve paid off all my debts before ordering chicken tenders for this exact reason.

also, fwiw, i feel your pain and been in extraordinary debt from gambling i was unable to pay but worked my way out of it and you can too without bankruptcy (which I'm guessing you have already traveled down).

    lastly, have you tried MegaBucks?

I am beginning to think spending your bingo win on scratch offs might not have been fiscally prudent.

I didn't use my Bingo win on scratch offs, I used the bulk of it on Cash Pop Draw games. But I did that because that was my gambling goals. Now, if I won $1,000 Bingo again, I definitely would be much wiser with the money since I already did my gambling goals.

They cut your hours because they suspect you are a thief and you are always in the bathroom taking nasty fried chicken shits.

But Thank You for keeping the Florida payday loan system in business. They count on “you people” to not read the terms and conditions.

    Fucking retarted moron.

I thought you spent it on scratchies too. What is cash pop draw? Also, didn't you say loaned some of the money to family and now since you're -$75 have they paid you back yet?

Cash Pop Draw is a game where a number from 1-15 that gets drawn five times. My Family Member paid me back the $100, so I put the money into my overdrawn Account.

Someday, Karen’s many intriguing human drama stories that she posts here will be collected by an up-and-coming Hollywood screenwriter and turned into the foundation for a smash-hit Netflix original series. The only question is what the name of that series will be. And they better not white wash the lead actor, dammit!

Why would a bank magically forgive $100?? I mean seriously Karen this is one of the dumbest fucking posts youve made on either here or VCT.

Its called fucking priorities dumbass. You wouldnt have been short the $100 and needing to borrow it if you hadnt gone and lit shit on fire in the casino Stay the fuck home if you dont have the money to gamble. Its a want not a need in life. I dont go inside a casino unless I can afford to lose the money Im sticking in the damn machine. You need fucking help. https://gamblingaddictionhotline.org...20years%20now.
