    So yea…

Just caught Feldman on the pre game show. He alluded to the possibility a player leaked their announcement with PokerGo. But of course he says they are all good with PokerGo. Also, according to him the plan is for PokerGo to only stream the first 3 hours free on YouTube and then create produced shows down the line. Which is baffling and I would be extremely surprised if that plan doesn’t change. I think they are telling Ryan that’s the plan, but in the end they will stream the whole thing.

Just don’t buy them streaming live for 3 hours and then totally cutting it off and then way down the line putting up produced shows. Terrible sales model. No urgency, so no reason for people to immediately subscribe. I think they will stream it all live but PokerGo has shit bed so many times before so who knows. But if they just stop the stream while these guys are playing they will just piss everyone off.

    Not to mention…

Now I know why they call him Mike X and not Mike XL.

Feldman is great at what he does. No doubt about it. But I got to say with the pregame show and the 5 plus hour streams…there’s got to be some young men watching 40 hours plus a week. It’s just not healthy and it’s just too much. There is an inherent ceiling when it comes to poker programming. I think the same with these young guys who watch a streamer every fucking day for hours. Life is going to keep moving and their going to be stuck watching others evolve. I heard mention of post game shows. Where are we going? 10 hours a day?

I guess I’m just thinking big picture. It’s just so much of a consumption of time. When you think about TV shows that lasted 10 plus seasons. They have these circular plots. The characters are developing, but slowly. The whole will they/won’t they get together shit. It’s not a movie that has set parameters. It’s going to get monotonous for Feldman because it’s consistency that’s rewarded. I would really say to both Nick & Ryan…chill out.

I do think they may be trying to grow the shit out of it so they can sell it. But it’s clear that Feldman and his contacts/skill is the most important part of the brand by far. LATB has been laughable, even after it was bought by Ballys. It’s unwatchable. It’s why PokeGo was really the only viable alternative for Eric to build his game.

This whole million dollar buyin in May…You can tell it’s a “If you announce it, they will come” Field a Dreams deal. But I just think they need to focus on what they have. There is hard ceiling and they basically have reached it. The creator game, if they get another, it will be big for a night. As for this photo shoot….next time I’m thinking a Clockwork Orange theme (Jockstrap and all).

they (nick and ryan) are the type of people that think others SHOULD be consuming content that they create for 10+ hours a day. lots of personality issues with these 2, which im sure you are aware of.

Persson shot off almost $1 million on a single hand, getting in most of it drawing dead.

These two have been shown as pretty chummy a few times on camera. Any chance this is all a ruse (pre-planned to give each their $ back if they get into a huge all in) for brand image building reasons?

Personally, I think not --- but it's POSSIBLE I suppose.

Weren't there rumors that Poker After Dark's wins/losses was settled for 1/10th the amounts actually won and lost after the show and that the pah-ticipants were simply playing "higher" on tv for the viewership?

Yes, I heard those Poker After Dark rumors, but they were never confirmed.

I'm not sure if Persson wants to build the image of a donk, unless he thinks it's a way to get more action on his hands in the future? But I think he already well established that he gets his money in light.

Persson is very obsessed with people admiring him and looking up to him. Very hard to believe he would knowingly play like a donk just to get people talking. But I guess it's possible.

Maybe if he and Antonius were friends, they could have had an agreement to give each other back 90% of losses incurred heads up with one another, but I just don't see Patrik doing something like that. After all, that would be a form of collusion, and if it leaked out that they did this, his longstanding great rep would be ruined.
