Holy shit.
I don’t watch much NFL but I tuned in to see they have been administering CPR on the Buffalo safety for 9 mins
See how NFL handles this moment

Not a huge fan but NFL can really make or break their reputation here.
As a business they should have this contingency mapped out. I know they don’t but just sayin’
NFL could get spectacularly smoked by sunrise.
Pray for the kid
OK2 is gonna blame it on the vaccine.
The NFL should suspend this game and resume the game tomorrow.
At least it’s the last Monday Night game of the year and all the other games are finished for the week. Obviously this is a situation where the game does mean a lot so it’s a difficult decision. I think probably suspend the game tonight. If he survives you can prob play it out tomorrow. If not, memorial Wednesday and maybe play it out Thursday during the day. Tough stuff, but I think you have to call it off tonight either way. Obviously hoping he survives but can’t expect a Football game to restart. These guys must be deeply effected.
Goodell’s career is on oxygen.
ESPN desk, Suzy Korber etc, just made the call ahead of Goodell. Incredible. Goodell is boxed in.
Yeah shocking this hasn't been called off
The fact it hasn’t been postponed clearly is allowing me to believe the guy has a chance on surviving. I just don’t see any reason this has not been postponed. Even if he is going to survive the players aren’t going to all of a sudden get into playing mode. In fact the players won’t play even if they are told to imho. So this whole thing is just bizarre. You can feel Goodell’s inflated ego. Just postpone the game. Yes it will be logistically tough and cost a lot of money, but the NFL can afford it.
Does Goodell think dragging this out is a positive somehow? A national mourning or something?
More concession sales?
I just watched more MNF than I have in ages. Maybe NFL wins
The players were given 5 minutes notice that the game would resume after the ambulance left the field.
Late but at least they made the right call.
My thoughts and prayers go out to that player and his family. I can’t even imagine…I’m glad that they called the game.
Start at 0:59 mark to see the play.
Very weird. Not a hard hit, and nobody was on top of Damar. His collapse and likely heart problem was probably unrelated to the danger of playing NFL football, but I'm guessing this play was more of the catalyst to bringing on an existing (but previously unknown) health issue to cause him harm.
Given that this was not from a hard hit or dogpile, I'm guessing that NFL rules will not change going forward, though it will reignite the conversation regarding danger NFL players face regardless.
Hopefully he ends up okay.
