Cause of death not known yet. I am sure a few folks on here will suspect it's from the clot shots.
Man, the coincidences are really piling up lately.
Do you have a source regarding his death?
At that age, it's either a genetic defect, drugs, an accident, suicide, or an act of violence. Usually with poker players, it's drugs. but occasionally it's an act of violence or a suicide.
Sad when young players pass like this, but I guess with a large community of degenerates, it's inevitable to have some instances of this.
Here's Ramsey playing on Live at the Bike, commented on by the Hanson kid:
Israeli Ron reported it on twitter.

I believe he used to be a construction site project manager or something like that. But it appears that he changed careers and became a salesman for Luna cycles. Luna is owned by Eric Hicks and he plays super high stakes poker. Pretty obvious Ramsey met him at the casino and that is how he got the job.
"when he fell on hard times"
Sounds like it might be a suicide.
This is the problem with these crazy players who run big moves on people. Sometimes these can work and they look like geniuses, but all it takes is a run where people either have strong hands and slowplay them, or a number of people making correct hero calls, and they can go into the financial toilet very quickly.
Maybe it was an undiagnosed heart condition or whatever, but given his age and this "hard times" post by Andy Stacks, I'd have to guess it was either suicide or drugs.
When was the last time Ramsey appeared on any of these streams?
Haven't seen him on Hustler stream in a long time. He posted on Instagram about a month ago and I saw him at the Bellagio playing pit games in the summer. I have a feeling he had financial problems. The way he played poker is the same way I play...never seen a hand I didn't like...and I'm addicted to slots and pit games. OD or suicide seems most likely.
Ramsey's friend on Instagram posted that he hung out with him on Sunday. He died the following day. I wonder if these guys went out on a bender?
I believe cause of death is one of these two:
1) overdose
2) clot shots
Falling on hard times, Playing crazy shooting off, I immediately thought of Brad booth. Although Brad is still alive but did go missing at some point
-Allergic to the struggle
Andy Stacks replied to someone on Instagram and said he died from an overdose.
Too bad, but not surprising.
A lot of these maniac/degenerate players live their lives the same way they play poker. The risk taking you see at the table often translates to other areas, especially if they are playing high stakes.
Sadly I knew someone like this, and he also died at a young age. I've discussed "thyprez" before. He was a guy who loved gambling and taking risks, and then I got word about 10 years ago that he died of an OD. Was shocking to hear in one way, but not so shocking in another. I still get asked about him occasionally at Commerce, from people who remembered seeing with me a lot in the 2000s, and wondering why they hadn't seen him in so long.
Seems like everyone liked this Ramsey guy but he had a lot of inner demons he couldn't overcome.
RIP
