What could possibly make someone so horrible as me?
Seven years ago I lost my only daughter/child.
You can fill in the blanks but the marriage and having a reason to get up were the first two casualties.
I still can't believe I wake up everyday. I have just committed to getting long term help. Only so I might help someone else at some time

I moved back to my home province. Suicide on my mind too often. I walk a train bridge almost daily and one day I'm on my own except there's someone up ahead and he's on the wrong side of the railing. It turns out to be a kid. Native kid. He's taking off his gear and he's praying. It looks like he's going. Several people arrive and we start pleading with this kid. In theory it's easy but it's not. Help arrived and we went on our way. If I saw that I might have followed suit
In July I lost my only sibling and I’ve seen the toll it’s taken on our parents. Belated condolences Les. Please get the help you need. Seems impossible that this forum is helpful for you but best wishes either way.

Les, a couple days ago I thought you said she'd stopped talking to you. Now you're saying you "lost" her. Would you please clarify? You have a choice in how to handle this either way. Alcohol is most definitely not the answer and it hasn't seemed like you've been sober.
My sister had 3 kids. In 2019 her youngest. my 19 year old nephew died from fentanyl OD. Less than 3 years later her middle child committed suicide. Only my oldest niece remains from that family. Today, my sister is one of the happiest people on earth. She's found peace in her life. She didn't do it artificially.

It sounds to me like you have a little money. I suggest you take a trip somewhere like South East Asia. I am not saying for sex tourism, just from your music and cultural tastes, I think you’d find it to be a great adventure and it’s very different from Canada and this will take a lot of your focus. A great thing about south east Asia is the beer is very cheap and there’s always a lot of random people with interesting backstories at the bars. You’d enjoy it. If you decide to go I’ll suggest some unknown village by the seas I can suggest to you
