Most people, myself included, have done two things two see Niagara Falls:
- Go to one or more of the viewpoints at either the Ontario or New York sides
- Take a boat which approaches the falls
On the Ontario side, you have been able to buy a package to descend partway down into tunnels in the rock, and view the falls that way: https://www.niagaraparks.com/visit/a...ind-the-falls/
I've never done this, but would like to try it sometime.
However, a new attraction has opened up at the surface of the water, where you can see the falls from there, and also walk through a 1905 tunnel which used to generate power. You also take a glass elevator where you descend 180 feet and see the old generating equipment as you go down.
Seems pretty cool. Has anyone done this? They opened up the surface tunnel and the elevator in July 2022.
I will definitely try both this and the "Journey Behind the Falls" thing when I next visit the area. I was last at Niagara Falls in 2014, when I made a trip to Detroit/Toronto/Niagara.
