Just an after thought, why did she have to give full 135 or whatever it was instead of 1/2.
I'm going to post the archives a little bit later of last night's radio show, which entirely focused upon this.
Arguably the most interesting part was the call from Darren "Beanz" Attebery. He revealed that he was the one who recruited Robbi to play at Hustler Casino Live, after seeing her playing pots in a survivor tournament (similar to a satellite) when she already had the maximum cash locked up. Obviously he wanted that live one in his games, so he suggested she go on Hustler Casino Live, where he was a regular player on Mondays.
This says two important things:
1) He witnessed her being a fish doing something inexplicable (not auto-folding once she had her cash locked up in a survivor tournament, where she there was no upside to play hands).
2) She didn't seek out HCL -- he brought her there.
This means that it's not unreasonable that she would make an inexplicably stupid play, nor did she and Rip seek out HCL to cheat it.
Additionally, he said that he gave her advice that she has to provide "value" to the stream in order to be invited back, and noted to her that certain people there are influential, and you have to be careful not to make them hate you. This would totally explain why she was so obsessed with calming Garrett down. She was afraid he would both shut her out of the game AND brand her a cheater in front of "millions of people".
Why would she give him back $135k? Recall that she was winning on all 3 Hustler streams she had been on, including this one. In fact, she was still winning after giving BACK the $135k. She likely was delusional, and saw HCL as a money-printing machine for her, where she could routinely outplay everyone, and didn't want to lose it. To her, surrendering that profit back to Garrett and still being able to play was preferable to being kicked off the stream for good.
That's my theory at this point, and I think it fits everything. You can hear more on radio.
Oh, and right now I'm kind of a Twitter feminist hero, which is hilarious.
I tweeted this morning that I determined it was unlikely Robbi was cheating, and did a 5-part explanation. At the end, I noted that "a woman was put through hell and branded a cheater -- AND had $135k unfairly taken from her", and that this is a tragedy if she's actually innocent.
Well, feminist/liberal Twitter read this as an allegation of misogyny, especially because this went viral enough to spread to non-poker spaces. Now people think that this is a battle between a misogynistic poker bro and a woman who was simply great at reading people, and that I'm standing up to misogynybro. Many of the people liking my tweet have pronouns in their profiles.
They'll be very disappointed when they read the rest of my tweets about other subjects.
I’m curious to know if The Hansen Kid has gone dark on this story.
I was listening yesterday well into the show when husband came on and radio inexplicably turned off. Great show though.
There were a few disconnects between me and the PFA server, which broadcasts the radio. I'm in the process of editing it now, and fixing it.
I'm not sure if these were fails on my end, or if PFA itself was having problems. If you recall, I was getting these issues for several weeks awhile back, until I determined that a scheduled process running on the server was killing the radio connection (not sure why), so I just moved the process to a time I was unlikely to be doing radio, and that fixed it.
I'll look into this again before next week.
Here's the PFA Radio coverage of it... begins at 0:15:08 mark.

Here's some lolbad Twitter threads from people outside the community, trying to give their (terrible) takes on this...

2:20:59 Beanz spills the Beans.
This is what separates Druff from some of these other guys.
1) He’s not monetizing this. The story of course is great for radio but it’s different for the guys who have YouTube Revenue, Coaching Sites & all other types of financial incentive to keep this story alive. Does Doug Polk really think Robbi cheated is at 90%? I highly doubt that. I’m not saying they all are just consciously milking this for all it’s worth. But there is money being made and that can’t be ignored.
2) Druff was in the real world before he entered the poker world. A lot of these guys went straight into poker. This gives Druff better perspective from more life experience outside the poker world. More of an ability to see this from a different perspective.
3) Having just a little more life experience in general than most of the people covering this doesn’t hurt either.
This take from you confirms some thoughts I’ve held silently.
I now get tagged with Youtuble Garrett/Robbi suggestions and Berkey owns the page. He’s on 24/7. It has to be monetization. I had a 6 degrees of separation relationship with him years ago but I just can’t with this now.
I despise social media and I admit I am not knowledgeable about (YouTube) monetization but I feel it has turned legit minds into money grubbing whores. Berkey is a smart, well spoken guy, for instance. Beats subsistence gambling, I guess. I get it.
I was so impressed with Druff. This is one of his best pieces of serious work. He unraveled this story in a very interesting and entertains way without all the manufactured shock and drama that grabs the ploppies’ eyeballs
We tease Druff but his strict asceticism has yielded a special untainted brand.
.
Robbi thinks she is a “World class Poker Player” LOL
She is also an identical twin.
I would be very curious to see her twin to see how she would look before the cosmetic surgery.
Also, right above where she says she an identical twin, she says, “Sometimes I do Magic”. Yes, we know Robbi. Last Thursday was one of those times.
Maybe PFA's best episode.
Congratulations

"Donk down, that’s what you say to someone after they have lost 28K straight?" - Phil Hellmuth, online
Everything mentioned about how she got on the show etc. can still be true and not mean she didn't cheat. After watching the first clips, I was leaning toward one of the worst calls of all time. But after seeing the later clips from the stream, she very clearly changes her story to fit the misread hand narrative. You cannot overlook the fact that her explanation immediately after the hand was bullshit and that she crafted a story to take as much heat off of herself as possible before she addressed the stream. I'm convinced she's lying about misreading her hand, and that makes the entire thing seem as if it's the actions of someone who was caught. Adelstein obviously shouldn't have taken the money back, and I think that's blinding most people to the most basic facts of the case.
Are the stories of her being staked into the game true? Do her and her husband really have money?
