Movement To Ban Gambling (including Poker) From Twitch

Apparently some Twitch streamer named Sliker recently admitted to having scammed money from fellow streamers and viewers to fund his gambling habit, which has resulted in some popular streamers like Pokimane and Mizkif (never heard of them) to call for a complete ban on gambling on the platform, INCLUDING POKER.

They are planning a blackout/boycott during the holiday season unless Twitch bans gambling, which I guess is during Twitch's main revenue period.

Got to be honest, this would really suck. I enjoy the poker streams and I admit there are few live Vegas slot streams I watch to help me fall asleep as well.

Yeah this was popping up on Twitter as well as a discussion from a few Poker streamers I know.. The concern of it all is Pokimane is one of the top streamers and her actions carry some weight unfortunately. But why a poker streamer should suffer because a guy was scamming supporters is beyond me. As far as I know Sliker isnt a poker streamer himself. This update BTW was posted today. It appears poker streamers are safe for now but it sure as hell is gonna KILL poor Chrissys actions if hes on Twitter.. No more Roulette Dice Slots etc..

They've decided to ban all "unlicensed gambling sites"... but only unlicensed casino sites. They will allow streaming of unlicensed poker and sportsbetting sites... for now.

This is a very good decision.
The unlicensed casinos are extremely predatory and target a demographic of underaged kids who are already addicted to gaming / consuming streamer content.

I've watched some of these; The number of the these streamers repeat gambling fallacies (old and new) to their viewers is astonishing. It has to be scripted.
    Things they like to mention:
    - "Don't leave this page, you'll lose your RNG seed and never get your money back"
    - "You need to make some bad moves in blackjack to trick the RNG seed into paying you"

All of these games allow users to "set" their client side RNG seed to any random string of numbers/letters, and they allow a reset of the server seed at any point.
The casinos are having the streamers use their viewer's lack of technical and gambling knowledge to get them to believe they have a chance to 'outplay' a game rigged against them.

There is a demographic of twitch viewers who spend A LOT of time watching these streamers play online slots for hundreds of thousands of dollars on the offshore casinos.
The legitimacy of those funds is certainly questionable, but the following that they've developed is very real.

    I am wondering:
    1. Will some of these people find online poker due to Twitch regulations
    2. Will some of the streamers get picked up by online poker sites?

#2 is especially interesting given the attention that the Hustler game with the streamers received.
These streamers and their viewers are GAMBLERS.
They get attention for their personality, and their ability to market themselves. Think MIKKI. He is what I believe these streamers 'Twitch casino streamers' would look like if they were brought into the poker world.
Great for the game. Bad for our sanity.
    Bring it on.
